I think it is aspirational to get to a Star Trek sort of unified planet, but as Chekov was obviously Russian it was more of a UN sort of unified thing that we are decades away from having. Meaning since I was a child in the 60s way before Bush or Obama There isn't one right now. That is a conspiracy theory. I have long believed there are UFOs, but as I am now older, I question them coming all this distance & do what, observe? Anal prob? Mutilate cows? Seems like a lot of work for very little. Canals?
