If some people are upset about the term, "master bedroom", how long will it be before the Alphabet Soup folk get upset about use of gender-specific terms in electrical and electronic components, pipe fitting, bolts, and even LEGO?
Will electrical symbols need to redesigned and re-labeled by ISO so that they aren't so blatantly bigoted?
How long will it be before language "evolves" into meaninglessness?

There are many more languages that have gendered nouns beyond the romance languages. Hebrew is one of them so you had better be careful. Complaining about gendered nouns could end up being considered "anti-semitic"
I personally think that the gendered names for certain connectors make sense. When someone invents a "gender-fluid" plug and receptacle, I'll rethink it. |
