Sorry, Alex, but when you jumped up on your soapbox and practically declared yourself the face of the radical left, you essentially painted a bullseye on yourself.

Sure, you can be mad at Cruz, Trump, Hawley, et al. for whipping the moron masses into a frenzy, but you hold responsibility for making yourself a target.

And now, the guy is trying to "make nice" and you slap his hand away. Let me guess, when your bills don't pass, you're going to blame Cruz for not co-operating.

Let me give you a little advice:

If you ask an acquaintance for $50 and they tell you that all they have is a 20, you can't slap their hand away, call them names, and then come back later asking for a Benjamin.

We adults know this. Time for you to grow up.

Philosophically, my beliefs align much closer to the "looney left" than to they do to the "rabid right", but if either side want to get anything lasting and worthwhile accomplished, they have to learn to negotiate and work with their opponents.

And the only way to do that is for them to step back from more extremist beliefs and opinions and take a more balanced and centrist approach.

Oops, there I go again, talking about being rational and reasonable...

I, too, am in favor of most of the goals of "the left" but simply can't stomach how they want to go about things... especially their rhetoric.

You can't scream for equality while actively working to disenfranchise the majority.
