That's kinda my whole image of Australia: a big, broken egg shell and a dust storm the color of Uluru. It was 39 C and blustery here today with the approaching change... it's now 19 C. And it appeared a little bit like that when I looked out my kitchen window... just lighter in colour and much less intense. However, there have been days when I've woke up and could smell and taste the dust in the air outside. |

Those guys are lucky they had a basket. The guys who clean the windows of my building work "genii." That is that they are lowered over the side of the building, sitting on a wood plank attached to a rope. That's it. Fresh buckets of soapy water are lowered down to them. The men never get hauled up, only lowered. |
