Two people are talking: Person A (Covid +) and Person B (Covid -). They are about 1 arm's length apart.
If neither is wearing a mask, the possibility of transmission is about 90%
If Person B wears a mask and A does not, the possibility of transmission goes down to 30%
If Person A wears a mask and B does not, the possibility of transmission goes down to 5%
If both wear a mask then the possibility of transmission goes down to 1.5%
Add some distance between the talkers and the percentages get even lower.
Remember, if you're close enough to smell their breath, you're close enough to catch whatever they have, as the same micro-droplets of saliva that carry the smell to your nostrils are the same micro-droplets of saliva that carry the disease to your nostrils.
I still don't understand why some people are so averse to wearing a mask when doing so obviously reduces the chance of infecting a loved one or being infected by a loved one. Why are these people in such a rush to kill their friends and family?
