"63-year-old white male" identified as a "person of interest" in the bombing, which itself has yet to be labeled as a "terrorist attack" in any of the articles that I've read about it.
I wonder if it's because the bomber was courteous enough to issue a 15-minute warning....

Of course.......... it's a reactionary stereotyping game here.
I'm a gun nut.......... of course I've heard of the wrongs done to Randy Weaver

I've noticed that the antiTrump crowd seem to always be so much more informed on QAnon and all that goofy conspiracy stuff more than Trump supporters, like me........who would never even know of them if it weren't for them bringing it up.
Is it a case of media sources? priorities in reporting on what's 'truly important'?
Or is it just a mish mash of conspiracies designed to make it all seem crazy? China.......the source of covid. I have no idea how 5G would play into that.........aside from the same country attempting to use modern tech to further their gloabal aims?

Maybe if you read more....
Nearly 350,000 people dead in just 10 months because a moron is in charge seems kind of important to me.
You nailed it. China is the source of Covid and 5G, therefore they must be related. "Hello, Doctor. My computer has a virus so I'm here to get some cold medicine."

Read more about tinfoilers? Wouldn't that just expose me to their goofy ideas more than I've already been infected? You teachers, man. You never stop with the homework.
I'm anxiously awaiting the Final Death Count for 2020. Just to compare it the previous few years of roughly 2.5 million dead Americans. There's also the curious sudden reporting of steep rises in crime and violence in large mostly blue cities? How are so many dying if they're under lock downs? Bullets must cancel out social distancing.
The funny thing is........it's mocked as being a related conspiracy........when both things could be absolutely true.....and still not have any real connection to each other. Speaking of tech deaths, I tried posting a Thread awhile back suggesting how to save tens of thousands of Americans........by getting rid of cell phone use under a certain age, and most people freaked and screamed about their freedoms. They seem to have changed their tune on covid and masks, though.
"My smart phone doesn't seem to be making me any smarter."

If you think that you would believe everything that you read, then it's probably a good thing that you have never reproduced. Most intelligent people like to be informed about important issues, such as which groups and which ideas are influencing the people with actual power in government.
The normal [crude] death rate in the US is about 8.15/1000 which is about 2.7 million people per year. 350k extra dead is a 13% increase over normal. THAT seems pretty significant.
As for increases in crime, did you actually think that criminals were going to take a break? If you want to talk specifically about murder, did you think that people being cooped up and without money was going to be a stress-reliever?
Here's the fun part: If Trump had done the right things back in January, there probably wouldn't be so many deaths from Covid and crime probably wouldn't have gone up. The economy still would have dipped, but not to the extent it has.
In fact, if Trump had done the right things in January, he probably would have steamrolled his way to a 2nd term and you'd be singing a waaaaay different tune.
Did you not get the part where these people believe that 5G networks are literally causing Covid... that the "5G waves are creating a physical virus"? It's interesting how you try to rationalize the insanely idiotic while admitting that you are completely under-informed. As for the cell phone thing... I suppose it's more than a little different as cell phone usage causes problems for the user while not wearing a mask could endanger anyone you come into contact with. I mean... am I in danger of getting brain cancer in China from a 12-year-old using a smart phone in Wisconsin? Of course not... unless cell phone radiation can buy an airline ticket....

If I believed everything I read, then I'd be much more supportive of the MSM the last 30 years.
But I'm anti-govt for the most part. So the masses that support more and more of it, .....the so called intelligent ones...... have had me outnumbered forever.
That's my point though...... we'll need to see over 3 Million deaths for it to actually be an increase. If it's less than that, this pandemic has not been nearly as deadly.....and then they'll of course claim "It's because we took measures that prevented catastrophe."
I did not. THAT has been my argument all along.....criminals, and people in general, were going to do what they do sooner or later no matter what corrupt politicians tell them to do. That's what made me laugh about Trump being accused of not wearing a mask. If he had worn a mask from Day 1, you don't think his haters would have done the opposite? just for spite?
The spikes in shootings and murder just make me chuckle yet again that the idea that Govt can stop or control things is just an illusion. They prove it time and again.
The right thing? According to the media, there's no way he's done anything right. A vaccine in under a year? Impossible. That, too, won't be seen as a positive. It'll be spun as a failing on his part. Until Biden takes credit for it, of course. Then he'll be lauded as the provider of science and success.
I got that part.......it's obviously tinfoil hat lunacy. Why bother focusing on it at all after mocking it from the start?
Oh, no, no, no........ a few years back, cell phone use surpassed drunk driving as the primary cause for traffic accidents/deaths. Texting has become just as dangerous as sloshed driving. The pedestrian deaths alone are comically concerning.
That's without going into all of the stress/anxiety that can be attributed to cell phone use and addictive programming by design. People are so often their own worst enemies. One of my buddies, who is like the role model for bad financial planning, was insisting to me WHY his cell phone bills of over $200/month were necessary because he simply had to be able to reach his 8 and 10 yr olds at all times. Like many Americans, he's had issues 'making ends meet' but can't ever figure out why that might be.

Actually, I don't think the "left" would have opted out of wearing masks if Trump had started wearing them from Day 1. Sure, there would have been some, but I think they would have quickly been arrested, as I suspect Trump would have leaned hard into the "law and order" aspect and used his power to remove the hardcore opposition.
Too bad he wasn't smart enough to think of that angle.
But really, all he had to do from Day 1, was admit there was a problem, caution people to follow the guidelines; set up testing at points of entry, and enforce quarantines in hotspots and for all entries into the country.
The infection rate would have been lower. There would have been fewer deaths. And the economic impact would have been much less.
But HE is the reactionary. HE is the one going out of his way to act in a contrary manner.
HE is the problem.
As for cell phones and car accidents, there are about 35,000 vehicle deaths per year in the US. Even if they were all caused by driving and cell phone use, it's still lower than the average number of people that die from the flu every year and 10 times fewer than the number who have died from Covid this year.
Are you going to switch to the swimming pool argument next? Drowning deaths happen 10 times less frequently than vehicle deaths.

You may have been living under Chinese rule for too long?
Time and again, Trump failed to live up to the dictator accusation. When covid hit, he could have used it as the perfect excuse to go all hardcore Mashall Law on everyone. But he did not. And then he was criticized afterwards for not being a dictator? By the same people that said "Come out to Chinatown"?
Enforce quarantines? In the US? Where we've already agreed people do whatever the hell they want no matter the law?
Since it became a political football and the exact thing many Dems were hoping for: A means to kill Trump's economy........ I don't see how they would have altered their own actions since?
I kinda like how you picked some deaths to wave off.....while insisting others are somehow so much more important to pay attention to.
THAT is sorta the point. IF we're going to approach things like this in a "1 death is too many deaths to accept" and "For the Children" taken to the Nth Degree? Then yeah, the Govt should be restricting swimming pools and everything else that endangers anyone's life.
It's a given freedom is more dangerous. And responsibility is hard. I know WHY people choose what they do.......... I just don't agree with it often.

What in my response has anything to do with China? Stop deflecting.
Did I say anything about martial (that's how it's spelled) law? Nope. But he could have used quarantine regulations to lock up any reactionary detractors while saving hundreds of thousands of lives, and no one would have cared about a few nutcases breaking the law.
Yup. Plenty of other nations have tested, isolated, and quarantined the sick with little or no other issues. Plenty of countries have used quarantine restrictions on incoming visitors to great positive effect.
"Trump's economy"?
You mean the economy he took credit for minutes after being sworn in? Trump's economy is the rising prices due the trade wars and the destruction he cause with his poor decisions relating to Covid.
Which deaths - other than Covid deaths - should we be talking about? What other deflections would you like to make?
How many logical fallacies can one person add to a discussion? When it's a trumpanzee... all of them!
Yup. The RESPONSIBILITY of putting on a mask and not killing your friends and family is obviously too hard for the mentally challenged. The RESPONSIBILITY of keeping America and its citizens safe is obviously too hard for the Trump administration.
No rational person wants more government interference in their lives, but when the rational are so few and the stupid so many, sometimes you have to suck it up and impose temporary measures to save lives.
I'm fairly certain that you would agree with the statement: "You have the right to live your life as you choose as long as you don't try to impose it on me."
People who don't wash their hands, wear masks, or follow the other rules are IMPOSING on the rest of us.
There's nothing wrong with some enlightened self-interest, Abs.
