It's almost Monday, December 14th. That's the day the electors will officially cast their votes. These votes will be officially counted by Congress on January 6th.

Trump has made bid after bid to subvert the will of the people and to undermine the very constitution that he swore to preserve, protect and defend. I don't think the intervening 3 weeks will provide any respite from this lunatic's shenanigans.

Families and friendships have been torn apart by this administration. The country has been torn apart by this administration. The very fabric of our democracy has been ripped to shreds by this administration. over 300,000 families have suffered tremendous personal loss due to the ineptitude of this administration. Families can't even get together for Christmas because of this administration, and he still has time to do more damage.

Then he has 2 weeks after that to do even more damage.

And then we're facing 4 years of an uncooperative senate running straight into an even more divisive 2024 election cycle... if the country lasts that long.

America has been failing for a few decades... half a century at least. Might be about time to see if the US can pull off a phoenix maneuver and rise from the ashes of its own self-immolation.

They only work for federal crimes.

What if one or more of the state level authorities went after him?

And, just as importantly, just how serious are the possible punishments for the more serious crimes?
