The anti-vaccine community, the people who are decidedly opposed to vaccines because of misinformation and conspiracy theories, are often looking for signs that they are being oppressed or discriminated against. That's how we end up with people like Charlie Kirk comparing vaccine requirements for students to apartheid, and Marjorie Taylor Greene comparing vaccine passports to the star of David used by Nazis to identify Jewish people. So when some anti-vaxxers spotted a website that was offering cash rewards to people who turned in their unvaccinated friends, family members, and neighbors, they flipped out. Posts poured in on social media calling the site "communist" and claimed it was creating a "dystopian hell."


Just one problem: the site wasn't real.

The Anonymous Unvaccinated Reporting System, or AURS, popped up online on July 31 of this year, according to WhoIs records that track website domain registrations. An archived version of the website shows that it was purportedly started by Doctor Jonathan Morse and Professor Brad Webber, who were supposedly working to create an "anti-vax" registry for the government to use. They would do this by encouraging people to anonymously submit reports about people who have not yet received the coronavirus vaccine. In exchange for providing this information, submitters would be entered into "monthly sweepstakes" where they could be rewarded with up to $2,500.

The prospect of this system had anti-vaxxers up in arms. "Still under the delusion that we are not living in some Orwellian dystopian nightmare? I give you the Anonymous Unvaccinated Reporting System," one person on Twitter wrote. "If you do not push back on outright tyranny like this, it will only continue to grow out of control." A link to the site was shared more than 800 times on Facebook, according to VICE — mostly from people raising the alarm about the frightening prospect of being snitched on. Videos made the rounds on TikTok, and anti-vaxxers used the occasion to highlight how the government is oppressing them. The site reportedly received more than 300,000 visitors in its first week of operation — enough to crash the servers and bring the site down.

As it turns out, the website is not actually a database to track the unvaccinated, nor is it the project of doctors or medical professionals. Instead, it was a work of satire created by David Bramante, a realtor and Republican candidate running for governor of California. The AURS website now redirects to Bramante's own site, where he explains the project and what he hoped to accomplish with it.

According to Bramante, the site was created "to help wake people up to the threats on our civil liberties." He claims, "We’re not far from this company being a reality," and "sadly, many of our family, friends and neighbors would be ok with AURS because they don’t realize where things are leading."

That doesn't exactly seem to be the case, though, by Bramante's own account. He says that the site received more than 2,000 submissions while it was up and operational. "90% of those entries are scathing form entries saying how much AURS is wrong," he explains. That doesn't seem to square with the idea that people are totally cool with the idea.

The AURS experiment is telling, though not in the way that Bramante intended. It shows how misguided many in the anti-vaccine movement are. A satirical site, which could pretty easily be debunked as fake, spread as if it was a real sign of government crackdown. Instead of being held up as an example of how misinformation spreads, it is instead being promoted by Bramante as an example of how dystopian things could be. Except they aren't. The fact that it seemed like it could be real in the minds of those who are already prone to conspiratorial thinking mattered more than recognizing that same conspiratorial thinking led to them believing a work of fiction was reality. Welcome to the feedback loop.

A new report by the U.S. intelligence community on Tuesday says Russia sought to help former President Donald Trump in last year's presidential election. But the document also emphasized there was no indication Russia or any other country attempted to alter actual votes.

Russian President Vladimir Putin authorized "influence operations aimed at denigrating President Biden's candidacy and the Democratic Party, supporting Trump, undermining public confidence in the electoral process and exacerbating socio-political divisions in the U.S," says the report by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

The unclassified document is the most comprehensive look the intelligence community has released regarding foreign efforts to meddle in the 2020 election.

But the central message is the same one the intelligence community has been delivering since last August: Russia wanted Trump to win, though its effort was not on the same scale as in the 2016 election.

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump appeared to admit for the first time Thursday – intentionally or not – that Russia helped his election in 2016.

Minutes later, he rowed back on that assertion.

Early Thursday, before departing for Colorado, where he delivered the commencement address to the United States Air Force Academy, Trump posted a tweet arguing that Democrats have made Russian interference a central issue of his presidency.


“And now Russia has disappeared because I had nothing to do with Russia helping me to get elected," Trump wrote. "It was a crime that didn’t exist.”

Minutes later, as he boarded Marine One for the trip to Colorado, Trump returned to his more standard talking points on the issue.


"No, Russia did not help me get elected," he told reporters.

Trump has long denied that Russian interference in the 2016 election affected the outcome of the election. In the past, he has swung between denying and haltingly acknowledging that Russian attempted to interfere, despite the assessments of intelligence agencies.

New Report Shows How Russia Helped Trump Get Elected

The Senate Intelligence Committee will release a new report this week that has the results of a study of the millions of social media posts provided to Congress detailing Russian efforts to help elect President Donald Trump, according to a Washington Post story Sunday.

According to the Post, the report details a massive “Russian disinformation campaign around the 2016 election” which “used every major social media platform to deliver words, images and videos tailored to voters’ interests to help elect President Trump — and worked even harder to support him while in office.”

“What is clear is that all of the messaging clearly sought to benefit the Republican Party — and specifically Donald Trump,” the report says. “Trump is mentioned most in campaigns targeting conservatives and right-wing voters, where the messaging encouraged these groups to support his campaign. The main groups that could challenge Trump were then provided messaging that sought to confuse, distract and ultimately discourage members from voting.”


The Senate committee hasn’t endorsed the conclusions in the report, which was prepared by Oxford University researchers. According to the Post, they obtained a draft before it was made available to the public.


The findings are considered reliable because the report was prepared based on data provided to the Senate committee (and members of the House Intelligence Committee) by companies such as Alphabet Inc.’s Google and Facebook Inc.

The report by the Oxford researchers gives many new details about the previously known efforts by the Russian government’s Internet Research Agency to support Trump’s election in 2016. The Russians worked through massive social media posting as well as advertising campaigns. Their goal was to undermine democracy in the United States in addition to helping Trump become president. They did this by inflaming passionate divisions that already existed in the U.S. electorate. They published millions of posts on such controversial topics as race and gun laws.


According to the Post, the report said the companies who gave Congress the data did not provide all the useful information they needed. In fact, they accused Facebook of sharing only posts from Russian accounts that bought ads and not those from other Russian government accounts. “The researchers struggled to interpret” data from Google’s YouTube as well, the newspaper said.

Neither the companies involved, nor the Senate Intelligence Committee, provided comments to the Post, although with a bombshell revelation such as this, there is sure to be more information to follow in the very near future. The full report is expected to be released to the public later this week.

Not that we needed it, but this report will provide additional confirmation that Donald Trump was elected with the help of the Russian government, and therefore he is an illegitimate president and should be removed from office.

A leaked document, purportedly from the Kremlin, claims Vladimir Putin personally ordered Russian spies to support a “mentally unstable” Donald Trump in his bid to become US president in 2016.

The Guardian newspaper reports that the Russian president personally authorised three spy agencies at a closed Russian national security council meeting to use “all possible force” to carry out the plan to ensure Trump’s victory.


The meeting’s attendees reportedly agreed that Trump in the White House would bring about “social turmoil” in the US and would weaken his negotiating position, according to the alleged documents that are said to show Putin’s signature.

The meeting is said to have taken place on 22 January 2016 – less than nine months before the US presidential election.

At that time, Trump was leading the race to become the Republican party’s candidate for the elections. He then went on to win against the Democratic Party’s candidate Hillary Clinton.

The Guardian claims that the document has been “carefully examined” by “Western intelligence agencies” for months.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. intelligence analysts have concluded that Russia intervened in the 2016 election to help President-elect Donald Trump win the White House, and not just to undermine confidence in the U.S. electoral system, a senior U.S. official said on Friday.


U.S. intelligence agencies have assessed that as the 2016 presidential campaign progressed, Russian government officials devoted increasing attention to assisting Trump’s effort to win the election, the U.S. official familiar with the finding told Reuters on Friday night, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The president-elect’s transition office released a statement that exaggerated his margin of victory and attacked the U.S. intelligence community that Trump will soon command, but did not address the analysts’ conclusion.

“These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction,” the statement said. “The election ended a long time ago in one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history. It’s now time to move on and ‘Make America Great Again.’”

Democrats and some Republicans in Congress are calling for a full investigation into Russia’s election year activities.

The lost tablet and the secret documents
Clues pointing to a shadowy Russian army

Wagner is a Russian mercenary group whose operations have spanned the globe, from front-line fighting in Syria to guarding diamond mines in the Central African Republic. But it is notoriously secretive and, as such, difficult to scrutinise.
Now, the BBC has gained exclusive access to an electronic tablet left behind on a battlefield in Libya by a Wagner fighter, giving an unprecedented insight into how these operatives work.
And another clue given to us in Tripoli - a “shopping list” for state-of-the-art military equipment - suggests Wagner has probably been supported at the highest level despite the Russian government’s consistent denials that the organisation has any links to the state.
It was late one night in early February when I received the call in London. It was one of my contacts in Libya with some extraordinary news - a Samsung tablet had been retrieved from a battlefield in western Libya.

Russian mercenaries had been fighting there in support of Libyan renegade general Khalifa Haftar, against the UN-backed Government of National Accord (GNA). It’s believed the tablet had been left behind when the fighters retreated in the spring of 2020.

There had long been reports that Wagner had been operating in Libya. This surveillance footage, filmed by GNA fighters in December 2019 and shared with the BBC, is believed to show Wagner fighters.

But we had little direct information. The Wagner group is one of the most secretive organisations in Russia. Officially, it doesn’t exist - serving as a mercenary is against Russian and international law. But up to 10,000 operatives are believed to have taken at least one contract with Wagner over the past seven years.
After various verification processes, a BBC team brought the tablet to London. I immediately put it in a signal-blocking bag, so it couldn’t be tracked or wiped remotely.
Remarkably, the information on it was easy to access. I discovered dozens of files - ranging from manuals for anti-personnel mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs), to reconnaissance drone footage. A number of books had been uploaded - including Mein Kampf, A Game of Thrones, and a guide to making wine.

But it was a maps app that stood out - layers of military maps of the front line, all marked in Russian. Most of the location dots were clustered in the suburb of Ain Zara in south Tripoli, where Wagner fighters had battled with the GNA between February and the end of May 2020.

The maps corresponded with drone footage of Ain Zara, also on the tablet. The video showed the suburb deserted - its residents having fled.

Looking through the files and apps on the tablet, there is nothing to identify the owner - but zooming in closer on the maps, words can be seen written next to some of the red dots.
My BBC colleague Ilya - who has been investigating Wagner for the past four years from Moscow - realised they were codenames, possibly comrades of the tablet’s owner. Ilya cross-referenced them with a database of Wagner fighters set up by Ukrainian volunteers, and a leaked UN report listing Wagner fighters in Libya.

We believe one of the fighters - labelled ‘Metla’ on the tablet - is a 36-year-old Russian called Fedor Metelkin from the North Caucasus.
His personal Wagner number, published on the Ukrainian database, is below 3,000. This suggests he joined Wagner fairly early in its operations - five or six years ago - when it was fighting in eastern Ukraine in support of Russia-backed separatists. From what we understand, it’s usual for the same fighters to move from one foreign conflict zone to another.

The tablet does not give clues about the identity of other mercenaries, but the BBC has since gained rare access to two former Wagner fighters - on condition of anonymity - who confirmed that many of those who started out in Ukraine went to oil-rich Libya.

One told the BBC that there were as many as 1,000 fighters in Libya at any one time over the 12-14 months of active fighting in the country from September 2019 to July 2020.

The former fighters explained that men are not recruited to an organisation called Wagner, but instead apply for short-term contracts - for example as oil rig workers or security personnel - with numerous shell companies.

They undergo physical tests and background security checks before moving to Wagner’s unofficial training ground near Krasnodar in southern Russia, which is next to a Russian army base.

They are then sent abroad, on the understanding that if they are killed, Wagner may not be able to repatriate their bodies.

One ex-fighter stressed that both the organisation and individual fighters are motivated by financial gain. The BBC understands that most of the men come from small towns, far away from major cities, where employment opportunities are scarce.

They can make up to 10 times the average salary by signing up with Wagner, one of the former fighters said, describing his ex-comrades as “modern-day Vikings”.
“Whenever there is some kind of armed conflict somewhere, Wagner soldiers talk about it. ‘We could go to this one, that could be one for us.’ Because every contract and every country is money. If you don’t have a contract you sit there in reserve with no money.”
He said many Wagner operatives - including himself - have a criminal record, making it hard for them to join the regular army.

There is little doubt they kill prisoners - something he freely admits.

“No-one wants an extra mouth to feed.”

The other former fighter told us the organisation does not issue any code of conduct for its operatives.
In the Libyan village of Espiaa - which is marked on the tablet’s maps as a Wagner position - we met a man who told us that three members of his family were killed by men speaking Russian.

The murders are being actively investigated as a war crime, according to Libyan military prosecutor Mohammed Gharouda, who works for the country's ministry of defence.

The village is 45km (30 miles) south of Tripoli, and when we visited in April this year the man - who we are not naming - related what happened on the afternoon of 23 September 2019.

He said he met an armed group on the road, who started shooting into the air. He was followed back to his father’s house, and six or seven foreigners forced their way in. He and his relatives were searched, and then were driven to Qasr bin Ghashir, about a 20-minute drive away.

According to the GNA, Qasr bin Ghashir was a Wagner base at the time. The man said he and his relatives were blindfolded, and their hands were tied. They were driven around in a truck for several hours before arriving back that night at a farm in Espiaa.

At around six in the morning, he said, they were taken to a small outhouse in the village. Some of the men then climbed back in the car, but two remained outside the outhouse armed with Kalashnikovs.
“One of them took [out] his weapon,” he said. “At this moment I understood. I knew that he was going to shoot. When he started shooting, I fell on my side and pretended to be dead.”

One of his brothers also survived.

The man said that at one point, he was able to catch sight of his captors.

When we showed him several Wagner fighters who were photographed in Qasr bin Ghashir at the time, he recognised one as being among the men who abducted and shot at him and his family. We have identified him as Vladimir Andanov. An undated photo of him walking around Qasr bin Ghashir was posted online by GNA soldiers just hours after the killing.


Vladimir Andanov is suspected of involvement in possible extra-judicial killings of prisoners of war during the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

Ukrainian activists have identified his most recent location as North Africa. But some of those claiming to be his friends have denied on social media that he went to Libya with Wagner. They say he’s at home in Russia.
The BBC has also collected testimony of other civilian killings attributed to the Wagner group in Libya. It relates to those who have strayed into an active front line. The evidence suggests about a dozen civilians may have been killed by Wagner fighters during the Tripoli offensive. The casualties reportedly included three men and two women in civilian cars, who came under sniper fire.

A GNA fighter, Mohammed al Kahasy, also told us that four men fighting alongside him have been missing since they were intercepted in December 2019.
In addition to the red location dots on the tablet’s maps, black dots indicate another deadly legacy of Wagner’s presence in Libya - mines.
Many of the labels refer to specific types of mine - such as MON-50 or OZM. There are also positions marked as “mined district”, “remote controlled mine” or “stretched out” - which we understand to be slang for booby trap.
Like the red dots, some of the black dots are also labelled with the codenames of fighters, suggesting they may have been in control of those particular mine positions. The word Metla - Fedor Metelkin’s codename - appears again in this context.
All of the 35 mine positions marked on the tablet are in the residential district of Ain Zara.
Also stored on the tablet are illustrations of the MON-50 mine - and two other devices of Russian and Soviet origin, the POM-2 and the PMN-2. These weapons are all highlighted in a Human Rights Watch report which points out that none of them have previously been seen in Libya - where there has been an arms embargo for the past decade.

Military prosecutor Mr Gharouda says his authorities have found the POM-2 to be particularly prevalent, and a particular danger for civilians returning to their homes in Tripoli.

The BBC has heard testimony from local residents about the extent of mines and booby traps hidden in residential areas, and seen photos and videos of the devices.
We have contacted a de-mining charity working in Libya to alert them to Wagner mine positions which might not yet be officially documented.

While the tablet gives us an insight into where and how Wagner was operating, a separate 10-page document - essentially a “shopping list” of weapons and equipment - gives us a hint as to who could be funding the organisation.
The document is likely to have been recovered during the fighting in the south of Tripoli. It was given to the BBC by a Libyan intelligence security source in Tripoli, who had been looking into the presence of Wagner in Libya, and specifically into its involvement in the offensive on the capital.

It is dated 19 January 2020, the same day Russian President Vladimir Putin attended a conference in Berlin on a peace process for Libya.

As part of the attempt to overturn the 2020 United States presidential election, The American Report published stories in which Montgomery claimed a supercomputer called the Hammer, running software called Scorecard, was used to steal votes from Trump.[26] Montgomery's claims were repeated by Mike Lindell and Sidney Powell.[28] Christopher Krebs, then the director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, characterized the claims as "nonsense" and a "hoax."

National Public Radio reported, "For several months starting in the fall of 2003, Montgomery's analysis led directly to national code orange security alerts and cancelled flights. The only problem: he was making it all up."[8]

Montgomery's software claims were reportedly responsible for a false terror alert which grounded international flights and caused Department of Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge to raise the government's security level.[9] In February 2006, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and U.S. Air Force office of Special Investigations opened an economic espionage and theft of intellectual property investigation into Montgomery and Blxware.[10]

In 2015, Montgomery, through his counsel Larry Klayman, sued James Risen, the author of Pay Any Price: Greed, Power, and Endless War, for defamation, alleging the book falsely described Montgomery as "the maestro behind what many current and former U.S. officials and others familiar with the case now believe was one of the most elaborate and dangerous hoaxes in American history."[11] In 2016, a federal court dismissed Montgomery's lawsuit.[12] In November 2017, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit affirmed the dismissal.

Nevada governor bribery scandal
During the run-up to the 2006 gubernatorial election, Dennis Montgomery accused gubernatorial candidate Jim Gibbons of accepting bribes while serving as a member of Congress to help Montgomery's company eTreppid Technologies secure military contracts for his terrorist software. In court papers associated with a lawsuit between Montgomery and former business partner Warren Trepp, Montgomery accused Gibbons of accepting casino chips and $100,000 in cash from Trepp during a Caribbean cruise. Montgomery provided copies of what he said were Trepp's personal e-mails that he accessed while working at eTreppid Technologies.[13] Gibbons' lawyers claimed they had evidence Montgomery fabricated the emails[14] and presented computer expert evidence in trial that challenged the authenticity of Montgomery's alleged evidence.[15] In November of 2008, Gibbons' defense attorney said that an 18-month investigation by the FBI resulted in no charges and cleared Gibbons of any wrongdoing.

But like the time I was at Carnation restaurant (remember them? Like the Copper Penny my grandma loved). Just walking to my table behind my husband & the waitress some craggly older(not Grey haired old old. 40s or 50s) called me a stupid slut. A younger woman apologized for her. 

I was in a sun dress that reached below my knees & had inch-wide straps. That made me a slut?
