600,000 Americans went bankrupt last year because of a family member getting sick.
Millions more couldn't come up with $400 in an emergency. Why act surprised or shocked?

That's something my side would point out, I believe. Are you aware how many folks in the US live paycheck to paycheck with literally nothing saved? |

I'm wondering if many of the people currently 'raging against the machine' will end up about as passive and complicit as many of those antiwar crowds of the Vietnam era that are now perfectly fine with the Military Industrial Complex continuing it's perpetual business with the Establishment in DC. (The Establishment that many of them are now a part of.)

I think I'm safe speaking for her that of course there are still sexist men in the world......... but that doesn't deter her and other women from going about their business. It certainly doesn't oppress them.
Men are abused by Govt a bit more than the ladies, imo Weird how for al the talk of equality, some of the benefits of having a vagina still hold so true. Though, I do look forward to this coming clash between transgenders and women. The Olympics just had a story or two and it's only getting started.

There has been careful coverage of them (Quinn prefers they/them) to never mention if they are using testosterone so there's plausible deniability that their skill is enhanced. My kid was worried because Japan doesn't allow visitors to bring testosterone with on visits. The doc said the 2 week trip might allow reversion/periods to resume, but shots starting up on return would end that. |

Now in that kinda case....... I'd have no issues. You're born with what you have. Do the best with it.
But once you start doing artificial things, it gets too tricky trying to figure out whether it's an unfair advantage or not......... like that golfer that was going lame and needed a cart a few years back. I felt bad for the guy, but sorry........it's too tough a call to allow it.
