That's because the guy was an absolute legend. Before Google, Bing, Yahoo, Baidu or Yandex, there was Sagan.

He helped to shape my early understanding of life, the universe and everything through his seminal book and TV series, COSMOS. He was and remains my hero to this day.

The thought that such an intellectual giant should die so young, with so much potential unrealized, while the intellectual equivalent of a talking turd with an orange wig carries on, surplus to any Human need or purpose, never ceases to make me angry.

And every time I listen to his PALE BLUE DOT speech, I have tears in my eyes.
