I didn't want to be a drama queen and have a farewell on the imdb boards but I did see where you guys noticed me deleting. It was a spur of the moment thing. It wasn't any specific thing or post that set me off to self deletion, but a general malaise brought on by some of the constant bs that goes on. And it's not even the people i'm ideologically against. Its usually the people who share my voting history closest with that irk the everliving piss out of me. The People who are supposed to be the stable ones. The ones that like slow incremental change. The folks that take a historical view. They've been replaced mostly online but even in real life with people I just don't recognize anymore. They are in it for the trolling. The idea that they would rather see the world burn than give an inch. That compromise the corner stone building block that built this nation is a dirty word. That if someone is on the opposite side of the isle they can't be friends. I am not like others I started off life uber conservative and slowly got more liberal the older I got. And by more liberal I would be a conservative with some leanings to the left in any Blue State or City, but still. I gained my empathy and love for fellow man well into adulthood instead of having the rose colored glasses stripped away by life. I was the opposite I started out with a vile disturbing view of humans brrought on by being uber evangelical with a weird mix of twisted logic. I Kept the twisted logic and stripped away the religious shackles that was telling me that humans are basically scum. I embraced my empathy and awe at humans. Basically peach fuzz covered ape that learned to fly. One that also made a form of telepathy like the type we are using now. YOu know exactly the thoughts that are in my head. Crude but a form nonetheless. And I don't know for some reason the last few months seeing the people that I would call like minded in a lot of ways just trash others for the laughs, past histories, and to goad their enemy into a gotcha just poisoned me. I may come back imdb1 IF I do I might spend more time in the Book and Marvel section. I will keep looking in from time to time. The reason I thought to do this was 1 I figured some of you might want an answer but I got surprise from my departed Mom and I went to tell you guys but realize I couldn't. My Mom set it up that a random Year and Half after her death to surprise each of her kids with a 1,500 check to buy something you wanted but wouldn't let yourself have. That woman was weird mix of lots of good and lots of bad, but she did love her Kids. Good to hear from you vassaggo, and we hope to see you back soon. |
