In an article about the 6-year-old who shot his teacher, there was this paragraph:
A child that young is not capable of forming "criminal intent." Yet, somehow, they are capable of understanding all there is to know about biological sex and gender and deciding which gender they want to spend the rest of their life as. What sort of sick, fucked up world do we live in?

Agreed, it is a sick, fucked up world we live in. A behavioral analyst might be able to clarify on that intent to harm - many children who torture animals, wet the bed and start fires grow up to be homicidal. Perhaps early childhood sexual abuse has some influence on both issues. Could be biological, could be environment, or both. And yeah, I probably watched too many episodes of "Criminal Minds". Genetics, brain chemistry, psychology and environment, the four things that influence behavior in each individual if you follow behavioral analysis and psychology. But ant-mac and I happen to agree that overall, we are just a failed species.  |

Well, Buddhism has the 4 noble truths and the eight-fold path, so maybe we could merge... like Buddha sitting on an eight-armed octopus instead of a lotus flower. |

Aw, geez, now my inner graphic designer has awakened, and I am visualizing logos! Dang! BTW, I know the 'swastika' originated in Asian religion and the bad Nazis swiped it. I was thinking how I could merge an octopus into a yin/yang symbol or a lotus flower. Whatever I come up with, it will be better than the Flying Spaghetti Monster! |
