Smaller Govt.
Less Spending.
Nailing Biden, Pelosi, Schiff and Wrey's asses to the wall?
For starters

The government is not going to make itself smaller. I used to believe in that as well, but then I realized we are long that past "small government." Republicans are worried about spending until they're in power, then they, too, are like they're off their meds with a platinum credit card. So you want them to spend less money but you want it thrown away on MORE useless investigations? None of these people will see a wall, or have you not been paying attention to the Trump investigations? He won't face accountability for his shit either. I've given up on the federal machine. All I want from these people now is as much money as possible. I see it as getting my tax dollars back. I'm sick of them sending money out of the country, so AFAIC, they can pay off my student loans or whatever. I don't care anymore.

I have come to that realization, too. Just makes it easier for me to not give a sh!t what they do anymore. Not gonna be my problem in a few years.........but people with kids and grandkids? F'd, totally F'd. And good, serves 'em right.
Exactly. This is why I know it was the GOP that scuttled the Tea Party peeps without any actions necessary from the Democrats. The Establishment GOP didn't wanna actually have to live up to their campaign promises. That's why that POS McCain was always ready to leave his state's border wide open......and getting rid of the ACA? Nope. He never intended to.
They're much more serious about Trump because he isn't one of them AND he actually showed them all up for what they truly are. The goofy bastard actually tried to please his voters.
I don't blame you one bit! Get ALL you can! I mean that. I keep saying because we don't have kids.....WE should be signing up for every form of handouts and welfare they offer. THAT's how disillusioned they've made me. I totally get your attitude. I do

The hypocrisy of the fucktarding shitbag Trumpanzees explained right there^^^ That's what the whole standoff over speaker is about right now. Geatz wants a two-year long investigation over Hunter Biden's cock. They also want a toothless impeachment of Biden. I'm fucking exhausted from all of it.

How do you define "business as usual"?

Graft, waste, fraud, lobbying, bribery and the outright selling off of the United States. Y'know.......the usual

And another two years of investigations is going to stop that? It just wastes more money. I don't think Biden is running in 2024 anyway. Hopefully we get two fresh candidates for 2024.

I am not denying that. At all. I know NOTHING will come of any investigations by the GOP, just as they haven't for years. But the GOP voters want some F'n payback after the circus of the last few years. Do you blame them entirely?
There's no way they let anything but puppets get near that office. We've all been made too aware of this fact now.

"Payback" is a waste of time and money. "Payback" is not supposed to be a function of government.

Well, they shouldn't bank on getting any payback for their perceived grievances by picking ineffectual people as their champions. The GOP is so dysfunctional and flimsy right now that they won't risk anything major because they'd further alienate independents they desperately need; independents who already think they're an embarrassing shitshow. Yet, at the same time, they can't risk alienating MAGA voters-- for now. However, they know that MAGA will eventually go along with them simply by virtue of not being Democrats. Thus, I wouldn't expect favors for those voters from their already ineffectual representatives. They're going to start aiming closer towards the center to fail there instead. I'm starting to think the Tea Party, MAGA, and the like are like cicadas. They burrow out from the dirt, make a lot of noise, fuck each other, drop dead, and then in several years the next generation emerges from the soil to repeat the process. The GOP likely sees that cycle as well and just ride it out until they can get back to "business as usual".

But I'm trying to break-up with V2 and seeing other boards now (well, this board). V2 politics has turned into quite the Qanon nut-a-thon. To me, MAGA has already lost a lot of momentum with Trump out of office and midterms over. I don't think MAGA as a movement even know what they'd do if they got control of the country. They're in love with this idea of taking us back to an Era reminiscent of the 50's in both economy and culture. There is no way of making that happen, and culturally it shouldn't. But a big portion of MAGA are just shitheads who get off on seeing Trump piss people off and like the political posturing and conspiracy theories. I'm hoping they're over-staffed at work tomorrow so I can get cut and make it to The Crow. That movie is one of my Lil Gen X-er heart's favorites. I was 17 and fully grunge chick when Brandon Lee came back from the dead to avenge his beloved. Best. Revenge. Scene. Ever. Are you going to make it?

Then the GOP should simply dissolve itself and most of them should sign up as Dems.
They're not cicadas.........because they're ALWAYS here.........just waiting for their cicada-like politicians to actually do what they want.
If the GOP refuses to do so......let them burn. It's long past time of allowing them to pretend any longer.
