Yahoo Finance Pharmacies limit the purchase of kids' meds. How bad are the shortages? Anjalee Khemlani·Senior Reporter Tue, December 20, 2022 at 3:02 PM CST
In the face of major shortages, big retail pharmacies like CVS (CVS) and Walgreens (WBA) are limiting the purchases of children's over-the-counter medications as cases of respiratory viruses soar.
An early start to the flu season — as well as the circulation of three different respiratory viruses that affect kids, such as flu, RSV and COVID-19 — has created what's known as a "tripledemic." The confluence of viral infections is pressuring pediatric health care facilities as well as suppliers of common cold and flu treatments, such as those that treat fever and pain.

I switched my kids to street grade fentanyl. No rationing, and it's easier to find than grape-flavored cough syrup.

So buy the limit. Go the next day, buy more. Not difficult You need more than 6 bottles a day?

I find it interesting how you continually gloss over how more rules and regulations usually fail.
I can't believe you and so many other Americans are so willing to give up not only your freedoms, but others, all for these already broken promises of security.
I guess it will always be the chasm between our beliefs. I see the Constitution and founding of the country as an Individual = TOP priority. Whereas millions of others have been taught to buy into the Govt being the Top priority. or the so called majority.

No phrase screams, "rugged individualism" as loudly as "We the people...."

... Do they not limit sales? "Farmer John's sausage $1.29 LIMIT 4." "Scott Tissue 6pk $3.99 limit 6" How have you grocery shopped all your life & never seen ads limiting amounts? One excuse they use is they don't want you buying their loss leader & selling it elsewhere. They're selling it below cost to get your ass into the store hoping you will buy other crap.

of course I have.
I'm usually more confused as to whether I actually have to buy 4 in order to get the great price........when 2 or 3 will do.
Not sure what any of this shopping advice has to do with how we view politics though? Grocery stores used to be the best advertising for American capitalism

Well, doctors have certainly ruined their reputations recently.
How's the military holding up in your opinion?

Remember the good old days in the 80s when Longs Drug Store (bought out by CVS in the 90s or 00s) used to have a dozen eggs on sale for 79 cents LIMIT 2 DOZEN? Always limit 2. They also did Marina Bath Tissue like $1/4pk LIMIT 2. It is called a loss leader meant to get your ass into the store so you might buy other stuff. Some oddball drug store, forget the name, used to have candy bars 10/$1. We would drive to O.B. regularly for the sale.

Military has had an image problem for decades, hasn't it? But the contractors tend to donate big to politicians AND be big employers in people's districts so...yeah. Good luck shutting them down. Congress usually gives the military MORE money than it asks for. That's the subplot in Violent Night. The wealthy family was given millions by the US government to quietly spread around Iraq during the war, only they kept it. This is what Mr Scrooge (Leguizamo) is after.

Ever since the Hippies started burning their draft cards and calling soldiers baby killers. The strange part to me is all those hippies are in Govt these days, but the wars still go on.
Now you understand the concept of Govt overall. They infiltrate every State, so everyone is now hooked on the 'free' money.
Oh, as if anyone ever takes their cut (or more) from Govt/Military contracts? Weren't the Clintons accused when it came to Haiti, as well?

Isn't that a nice right to reserve for the business owners?
My local grocery chain is called Festival. They run ads every week and have pushed a TEXT for the code to save even more. You're supposed to buy either $5 or $10 worth on non-coupon groceries, too........but it's clear the system doesn't make that mandatory. So instead of the LIMIT 3, I just load up 6, and ring myself out at Self Checkout in 2 transactions. I almost always have at least a few other groceries to ring up with one of those transactions.
And if the deal is good enough, I may stop there another 2-3 times before the week is out.

I don't use self checkout. It's eliminating people's jobs. But see? You whine about limits in the OP, but know damn well its common practice & regularly defy those rules.

Do you honestly think you're saving those jobs, though? I don't. Especially as the wages go up higher.
Thus is the benefit of being a paying customer..........they're more like suggestions rather than actual strict rules. Even employees in retail have been repeatedly told to just back down and not confront anyone.......even outright thieves.

small print.........for each transaction? only once per day? etc etc etc
I literally (figuratively) saw an employee get chastised for stopping theft. This is how far we've sunk as a people.

Silly rabbit. They can't use the random employee's testimony in court. They have to only prosecute when security catches the person. Otherwise if it doesn't stick, the accused might sue for being embarrassed or defamed by false accusations What does that have to do with you violating the rules? You sure bitch about others doing it.
