What do you need to pay the bills?
Endlessly? Doesn't 'No!' mean 'No!'?
I haven't work Full time in about 15 years. Tell me again how it's impossible to have time for yourself and achieve any sort of work/life balance. And I'll point out to you again that many of those who claim they can't make ends ends meet, still somehow find the funds for their favorite vices.......day after day, week after week, year after year. Christ, a pack of smokes these days is about $10
AGAIN...
YOU can do this because all of your big bills are paid for.
Stop comparing your situation to all others as if they are at all comparable.
Not everyone has a sugarmama, right?

Not everyone has a sugarmama, right?
Not everyone can find a roommate? or 3? or 5?
Not everyone can get married and maintain a stable relationship long enough to help each other improve their status in life?
Who knew it was asking so much from so many?
Who knew even though they've been warned against several financial pitfalls, they'd go ahead and do them anyway. Then cry that it was never really their fault?
There's also the very glaring reality of Sugarmamas being far more infreguent than Sugardaddies. Wanna have some fun with that? OnlyFans alone should back up my argument.

Not everyone is honest, are they? So you get a roommate who steals your identity or rips you off. Who cares? Same with marriage Part of the vow is to FORSAKE ALL OTHERS, yet how many cheat? Mine said he did it as often as he could. Women are at a financial disadvantage. Not as many gals making the sort of bucks they can keep a Gigalo going

so it's better to just slide into financial ruin rather than run the risk? A risk you'd have with or without roommates anyway?
Exactly. You can't trust those you marry anymore than strangers. So is it really that different a risk?
Yet women do not off themselves for being financial wrecks nearly as much as men. Because they've almost always got an out? an option? a card to deal? What's the ratio of homeless men to women? 10-1? Worse?

Because most gals I know are more they need to survive for other people in their lives. Hubby offs himself, but someone has to take care of the kids, etc. And guys see their value as a person in their careers more than women do. We look at out lives as a whole

That's a convenient hypothesis.
I'm not completely disagreeing. Guys tend to not only kill themselves.........but also wanna take others out with them.
a whole what?

a whole what? Career is only one piece of one's life. Hell, we work who will take care of the cats if we die. How many men you know who are caregivers vs women?

y'know.........you keep repeating sayings like that.......as if we're not aware of it. But 'career/income' still is about the most important priority one should have. If you can't afford to pay for anything........what difference does it make if you've got other interests and hobbies?
That's always a decision to make, too. Worrying about pets after our own demise is something all should consider. But like their own offspring, it's amazing how little thought many people put into such things.
Isn't it a given that the stereotypical differences between men and women are known? So while a study or a college professor might wanna argue about the problems with patriarchal society or the roles we're assigned in life..........most of us just gravitate to where we fit.

That doctor must have been envisioning electric street sweepers Amazing people from a century ago thought innovation would be used to help people, not oppress them.

A big issue is our criminal justice system and our unwillingness to give second chances. And our parole system is set up to keep people in the system for the rest of their lives. We charge young adults for drug crimes and sentence them decades, then parole them out after a couple years with no chance of bettering themselves or forward mobility. You blame them for working the system? The system set them up for failure.
I wish I could allow myself to count on someone else's money. Instead I attract people wanting to count on mine. Someday I will retire to a lovely tent in the redwoods and hopefully collect social security, and eat cat food that I share with the strays. Cat food will probably be $5/can by then, but someone has to feed them and maybe I can recycle the cans. I'm counting on weed to be free by then, and just growing wild, or at least covered under my Medicare.

ummmmmmmm, aren't most of the Govt programs designed to keep you dependent/on the hook for the rest of your life?
WHO do you attract? Be specific, somewhat
Redwoods? This land is your land, this land is my land.........until you even try to set that tent up near those redwoods
Good news, many national forest lands are already planted with illegal pot grows, so you may have a good source/supply

You have the people who made an honest mistake & sincerely want to go & sin no more but you also have the guys out there always looking to scam others. Always thinking they have the right to just take this or do that. The people who have no problem stealing from friends & family or those they see as weak because they perceive their need as greater. My potheads were the most annoying. I had so many pothead who didn't want to work. They wanted to sit home on the couch smoking pot so the money to pay for it came from sponging off/stealing from others. Like the one who told me pot was so wonderful because it was natural! He would live with roommates until they got tired he wasn't helping out. He would break into his mom's place when he knew she was working to steal her food. I remember a comedian joking when he stopped smoking weed that he gained a superpower because he could remember where he left his keys & other stuff.

For others it really is a problem. I think non-violent felons who show good faith in bettering their lives should be given education opportunities and a possibility at getting their records expunged. The 20-year-old who was selling crack may not be the same person at 30.

I had a boss make us clock in & out for out 10 minute breaks so he could see we didn't take more than 10 minutes.
I had an employer force us to take 1/2 hour breaks to 'save on payroll'........instead of just scheduling better.
Boy, did I enjoy the very first time they made me do it, it got hilariously busy..........and I just kept loudly giving them Updates about how many minutes were left BEFORE I could punch back in to help them.
Maybe you’re not pro-oligarch after all. Maybe you’re just a sadist who likes to see people suffer.
