1. If you don't trust the government because they make laws you don't like, there are nearly 200 other countries to choose from. Pack your bags and GTFO. 2. Except where they are made by law to care. Feel free to exert your labors in exchange for pay with whomever you like, but don't bitch about it when you get hurt, K? 3. I own several pairs of shoes. No Velcro. I'm old enough to have learned how to tie laces. 4. No problem. However, at work and in public, your choices ARE not yours alone and others have the right to curb your actions. THAT'S the point: you don't seem to understand "public" and "private." 5. So... you are not currently in TX as you stated on the other thread. That's misleading. 6. When you offer a binary choice, I tend to approach it that way. You seem incapable of nuance no matter how often I explain it, so... 1. Not many trust many governments. If you didn't like Trump, you were also welcomed to pack your bags. I thought a bunch of people were gonna pack. What happened? 2. I didn't? Don't bitch to me about getting a vaccine I don't wanna get. Cool? 3. Never owned Velcro in my life. Be a big boy. Seems you dislike people thinking differently. 4. My choice is mine alone. That is what I wanted to do. Others did the same. You're very welcome to live in your basement forever. 5. I never said I was. Texas was always my home. If I mis spoke, an accident. Sorry people make mistakes. I'll try to get better and be as perfect as you, as I'm sure you've never made one. 6. You seem to think binary and everyone has to agree with your perspective. Our differences make us great. We all won't ever think the same. 🍻 1. I didn't have to leave. I was already gone. Clinton fucked us. W did nothing to stop it. And Obama couldn't fix it quickly enough. You seem to think that allowing the government to do the job they are required to do is evidence of trust in their ability to do it well. I assure you that it isn't. I demand that they meet their mandate. YOU seem to think that they cannot and will never do so. Leave. Go where you think your voice will be heard or where you think you can at least tolerate the conditions. THAT is your right. Exercise YOUR freedom. 2. I don't care if you get the vaccine or not. I simply don't want you around me or my loved ones if you don't. Your body. Your choice. Just stay the fuck in YOUR home and stop trying to kill the rest of us. 3. You're right. I don't like Millennials who back Bernie but then willingly bend over to take it up the ass from Trump. I'm weird that way. 4. Sorry, but if it's your body and your choice then YOU are the one who needs to stay in the basement. Let me give you a scenario: Your friends have just welcomed a new baby into their lives and have invited their friends to their house to meet the baby and have a party. In this scenario, you are a smoker. I don't give a fuck if you really are or not. For the sake of your own understanding, you are. Anyway, you get to your friends' house and they say, "Shady, we'd appreciate it if you only smoke outside on the patio." Do you say, "My body. My choice," light up and blow cigarette smoke in the face of the newborn infant or do you inconvenience yourself by keeping the cigs in your pocket or heading to the patio? One would hope that you choose to protect the health of the newborn. But if you don't and the new dad beats the living fuck out of you, then I'm going to tell the cops that you tripped and fell when they show up. "Your body. Your choice" is only valid when it truly is only your body on the line. The minute you put others at risk, they have a right to defend themselves from you and even to expect the intercession of Law EnFORCEment Officers (or other government auspices) to protect them from you. I'm sorry if that offends your notion of personal sovereignty, but I'm pretty sure you'd expect the same consideration if you were the victim. 5. I make mistakes all the time. I apologize; correct; and do my best to never repeat the same mistake twice. You misspoke. You have apologized. I accept your apology. Moving on.... 6. I only think people should agree with me when I'm right. On the issue of public vs private choice, I am undoubtedly correct by any and all rules of logic. You can still feel free to disagree, but you should understand that it is not your stupidity which offends me but your ignorance and stubbornness in not being willing to see the logic or facts of the matter. Honestly, that's why I think of you as a Millennial with Velcro shoes....

Thought you said you were in Texas when you bitch a out California. This vaccine had a head start because there have been other covid type stuff out there. I remember one company was like 3/4ths there when the prior version petered out, but that gave then a starting point. Information was shared up front. Remember Warp Speed? The basic coding of the disease was shared do they could move faster. So kids & grannies are braver than you. Ok.

Yeah, it's almost like they've been working in labs on this stuff for years. As if it was funded and gained functions along the way.
I'm just glad Pfizer could profit so much.
Brave? One person's brave is another person's stupidity. And talk about yet another word that has lost all meaning these days
He's been bitching Califor Ian's are moving to Texas, but he's not there so it doesn't matter, dies it? My mama lived in Florida. I had relatives there in the 80s. Nor sure they are still there. You said you had to get vaxed. You dead yet?

Goal is bail by 2023, back to Texas. People can do as they please. Take it or not, idc either way. My grandma loved it here. Born in Maine. Lived in Nebraska, New York, Florida, & New Mexico. Last 20 yrs of her life here. The Florida family kept trying to get her to move there. Nope.

It matters if a formerly Red state goes to Purple......or even Blue
I have not gotten vaxxed. My wife opted to for her new job.
I am currently in better health than her........but her RA is really kicking her ass, so I probably won't place any blame on that booster.

It took two terms to do it but when he took office unemployment was at an all-time high and when he left it was at an all-time low. Was the economy perfect? Fuck no. Was it better than when he entered office? Yup. Facts are facts. You want to give credit elsewhere, fine, as long as it's not Trump. 2. But it's not. Without the vaccine and the original variant, you had a 1 in 10 chance of infecting each and every person you met. The more time you spent with them, those chances increased. With the vaccine, the chances dropped to 3% and didn't go up nearly as fast. These are scientific facts. Sorry if science offends you but you just need to toughen up, cowboy. 3. So you automatically just throw out your beliefs and champion whoever wins even when they're a blazing moron like Trump? Sorry, but in a democracy, I have the right to call Trump a moron and the people who follow him, "idiots." It's part of the Constitution. Maybe instead of you Trumpanzees wiping your ass with it, you might want to try reading it. 4. And that's why you and your ilk are seen as fucktarding scumbags by the reasonable and rational. 5. C'mon. I'll bet you have some Velcro in your closet right now. You know you do.

It wouldn't matter with LESS Govt involvement.
And as much as I hate to say it, No. When you look at a state.......or especially the counties within that state even....... you can see 2 very distinct and different ways people go about their lives. Those people that love to be dazzling urbanites.......and those people that tend to migrate away from larger crowds.
take a look at my state........I'm sure yours has some similar coloring

I guess you Millennials didn't study math in school with your gender and race studies. The mortality rate in the US (also the world average) is 1.1% or about 364,000 deaths per year (in the US). The mortality rate of the common cold is about 660 per yer. That means that Covid is over 550 times more deadly than a cold. Again, sorry if science and facts offend you, but there you are. 3. Nope. I'm watching you back Trumpism (nearly the complete opposite of Bernie) as a philosophy. You are the one who is deranged. 4. If Bernie Bros are going to blow cigarette smoke in the face of an infant just a couple weeks old, then... yup... They are just as big of fucktarding scumbags as Trumpanzees. 5. I don't see the point in joking with someone who would blow smoke in the face of an infant rather than forego a cigarette for a few minutes.

There's a reason it kinda makes sense to split up Cali into North & South.

There's a reason it kinda makes sense to split up Cali into North & South. It is the coast that's blue consistently so it would be more ideologically proper to slice it into east & west Not splitting my state, thank you.
