My child hood best friend and next door neighbor growing up and I have known each other for about 55 years. We talk about everything, but never Politics. In our youth he had no interest in it at all, while I was a Police major. We were both raised Catholics but he married a born again fundamentalist Christian, so talking about politics later never seemed like a good idea either.

He lives in Colorado now and last week when we were talking for some reason the conversation got around to Boebert. "She is my Congresswoman", Matt said "You have probably heard crazy stuff about her but she really is a great person". "I hear you" I replied " My Congresswoman is AOC. You have probably heard crazy stuff about her but she really is a great person." He said no more and quickly went to talking about the Mariners, Russell Wilson and grade school.

Maybe in another 20 years we will talk politics again.
