Time to come down from the bridge and spend eternity on the Lido Deck.

Yep, I did watch the Love Boat along with Fantasy Island and other series in that era........but for some reason McLeod's standout for me was as Mary's co-worker. As the Captain he was very plain, imo.........but as the guy that always ripped on Ted Baxter non-stop and was chuckling buddy with Lou Grant? That's memorable for me.

I saw LOVE BOAT, but not the other two... although I'm aware of the. I did happen to see Ed Asner as LOU GRANT a couple of times.

I watched MTM on the Dick Van Dyke show in black & white re-runs.....very funny and very cute. The MTM Show was a very 70s take on a young woman becoming an independent person in the evolving working world in America.....and it was hilarious for so many reasons.
Lou Grant was a much more serious series that dealt with how important and honorable the News/Media was.......... keyword there? WAS

A TV show I was familiar with and that seemed to come from the same neck of the woods, is THAT GIRL... ever heard of it? I saw a lot of episodes of it back in the... 1980s? Yeah, news media isn't what it used to be... but then, what is anymore?

Could just be me, but Marlo is more known for being Danny's wife and doing many TV commercials/charity gigs. I do remember seeing that show and references to it, but as far as seeing many episodes? nope.
Humanity. It has remained consistently kinda crappy and best to be avoided often enough.

I hope his death wasn't as gruesome, painful or violent as the death of Chief Inspector Conway. RIP.
