No, that's the 1978 classic INVASION OF THE CANCEL-CULTURERS... Which was in fact a remake of the 1956 original, because that one wasn't woke enough. Oh yeah Sorry. I fell asleep while studying to be "woke." That's okay, if you take the night class on identifying your personal pronouns, I'm sure you'll still be able to graduate.

Yes, I remember that classic 1968 film on the subject, THE NIGHT OF THE CANCEL-CULTURERS.
Duane Jones found out about the systemic issues in the US the hard way.

With extreme prejudice in fact.

I know Neo... apparently he's coming back in yet another pointless sequel. Never heard of the other guy.

To be fair, if you fire a gun at most people they catch the bullet... Just not with their fingers.

I suppose it depends on caliber, velocity, distance travelled, point of impact... But I'm not really a gun guy as such.

I had the pleasure of training a tranny just this past month.
My first question was "Am I going to be facing pronoun troubles?"

I never understood why a trans-person would want to use any pronouns other than that of the identified gender. That's kind of the point, isn't it?

of course, but in the same vein........why get offended or all that upset if there's a mistake made by others?
If you're a butch lesbian that looks like a guy........you really wanna get all uppity every time someone says 'Sir'?

There's a teacher in town here: Riley. I don't know if that's a first name or last. I do know that Riley is physically female (it's obvious though Riley tries to hide it), but Riley prefers that no pronouns be used at all. It's a struggle sometimes, but I try to defer to Riley's wishes. I occasionally mess up and get a bit of a look in return, but Riley doesn't get mad as Riley knows that I'm actually making an effort as opposed to people who just don't give a fuck. In the case of someone whose appearance is truly ambiguous, I find myself avoiding gender-specific terms much in the same way that I avoid asking fat girls when they are due to give birth.
That said, I'm simply not down with learning new pronouns (beep, bop, boop) for every person I meet and I hope that each of these people can be as understanding as Riley when mistakes are made. After all, slapping together sounds that you know people aren't going to remember just seems like one is forcing a reason to be offended. And I'm pretty sure that as soon as I have mastered "beep, bop, boop" that the same person will arbitrarily change their preference to "bippity, boppity, booyah" just so that they can regain the imagined "upper hand" in the "relationship" in the same way that "negro" gave way to "colored" which gave way to "Afro-American" which gave way to "black" which gave way to "African American" which gave way to the (not-as-inclusive-as-one-might-think) "People of Color" and so on.
These are people who want to create and maintain separation while simultaneously blaming the "other" for it.
