In the US, we provide appropriate attire to inmates who need to appear in court. Does the Soviet... umm... Russia?
Those might be the only clothes available to her.

do you suppose THEY went out and got those clothes?
or simply only picked from what she brought?

Since I said, "what was available to her," I think I've already answered your question, but I'll spell it out for you:
Those are probably the clothes she was wearing when she was arrested or just something taken from her confiscated suitcase and handed to her.
And before you ask, I have no idea whether or not she brought "dress clothes" with her, but I'm pretty sure that her "hosts" don't want her to look "nice" for public appearances. THAT wouldn't suit their agenda or narrative.

I can buy that.
It does seem a bit ironic to me, though.

Brittney Griner's coach Vanessa Nygaard blasts the lack of urgency in getting her out of Russia.
“If it was LeBron, he would be home, right? It's a statement about the value of women. It's a statement about the value of a Black person. It's a statement about the value of a gay person."

Looking at the average prison sentences given for drug-related offenses, Iowa is the harshest state with the average sentence given being 111 months. Arizona is the most lenient state with 17 months being the average sentence given.

No he wouldn't but LeBron would never be in this position bc LeBron isn't forced to go to a hostile country and play in their leagues for extra income. Brittney makes $220K a season. LeBron makes $41 Million. That's the real angle that nobody seems to want to discuss.

Expert economist Robert Reich chimes in........ twitter.com/rbreichRobert Reich@RBReichWhen you factor in the length of their respective seasons, the average NBA players makes 44 times what the average WNBA player makes- all while playing the same game. Hence why Griner and other WNBA superstars play overseas in countries like Russia to supplement their incomes. a Response: Libertarians Diligently Plotting:NBA Revenue: $10B
WNBA: $70M
The NBA brings in 143x more revenue. The NBA has to subsidize the WNBA because they're losing so much money. Economics is hard.

I'm wondering what socialism has to do with any of this.

1. You don't think these 'equal pay' arguments have a tinge of socialism/communism to them?
2. Check out Robert's Twitter posts. I can't believe this kinda thinker was allowed anywhere near Govt operations.

1. Not really... or at least not always
2. A guy who states facts? Yeah. We wouldn't want that.
Can you see where you made assumptions rather than reading?
