Stephen Colbert Dragged After Mocking SCOTUS Decision in Case of Praying Football Coach

Critics torched late-night host Stephen Colbert after he mocked the Supreme Court’s decision involving religious freedom.
Earlier this week, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of a high school football coach suspended for praying on the field after games.
In response, Colbert tweeted, “If the Supreme Court is going to allow prayer in the middle of a high school football field, they should allow high school football games in the middle of a church.”
His comment sparked criticism from several Twitter users.
Conservative commentator Allie Beth Stuckey replied, “Wow so smart.”
BlazeTV host Steve Deace tweeted, “Alexa, show me a dumbass attempting to connect things that literally have nothing to do with each other whatsoever, which will then prove his dumbass audience nodding in approval is even dumber than he is.”
Radio host Clay Travis told Colbert to “fire your joke writers.”

The criticism comes just months after Colbert was torched for his remark about gas prices.
During a monologue on his show in March, Colbert said since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine “oil prices have skyrocketed.”
He continued, “Today, the average gas price in America hit an all-time record high of over $4 per gallon. Okay, that stings, but a clean conscience is worth a buck or two. It’s important. I’m willing to pay $4 a gallon. Hell, I’ll pay $15 a gallon because I drive a Tesla.”
One Twitter user replied, “*I don’t mind paying $15 a gallon, cause I drive a Tesla* is a joke, until you realize that it really defines the disconnect between the mentality of celebrities and the people who have to drive to work everyday in a car that costs less than $50k.”
