Hilton: It's time we stop letting the 'idiot' experts destroy our countryOpinion by Fox News Staff - Yesterday 9:12 PM "The Next Revolution" host Steve Hilton issued a scathing rebuke Sunday night of all the self-appointed "experts" who have misused their authority to make vital decisions impacting the everyday lives of Americans on everything from COVID, and crime, to the military and the economy, only to be "completely devastatingly wrong." DR. FAUCI TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 STEVE HILTON: That’s the number one rule of government by ‘expert idiot.’ No one is ever held accountable, however much they screw up. Which of course we see in the absolute crowning glory of the expert idiot's takeover of the coronavirus pandemic. Let's just take a moment to remember the vanity, the self-importance, the sheer brazen certainty of these expert idiots who turned out to be completely devastatingly wrong. Of course, it is all laughable now how wrong the experts were, how wrong the vast majority of the establishment media were to trust the experts. But it keeps happening. The establishment never learns. So we cannot just subcontract vital decisions about our lives to the experts. Wherever you look, the pandemic, crime, the military, the economy, what the experts have done to this country is an absolute travesty. And even if it wasn’t anti-democratic to put all this power in their hands – which it is, even if it didn’t contradict the very idea of what America was built on, self-government -- which it does, on a basic practical level, government by experts doesn’t work because as we have seen time and time again, the experts are idiots.

So we should trust stupid people to make decisions? That explains a loooot about how MTG and Boobwart got elected.... BTW, did you see how Boobwart hates the infrastructure bill but wants the gov't to pony up $33 mil for a single bridge in Colorado?

If the smartest have been screwing it up for years........what's the harm in letting the stupid have a crack at it now and then?
I did see that headline. Is $33 Million an outrageous amount for a single bridge these days? What with Inflation, I suspect the costs for all of the necessary infrastructure is doing nothing but going UP. Typical reaction to more and more Govt involvement.

1. Have they been screwing it up or have their political opponents been screwing it up and blaming the "experts"?
2. C'mon. Everyone knows that 33 is going to balloon to 100's and then Boobwart will blame Biden for it.

1. Either way, it's still political teams messing things up. You know I feel they're all pretty much corrupt
2. There again, will that be all that unusual for a Govt project? Apparently quotes from contractors don't mean a thing when tax dollars are involved.
I noticed that list even had some Trump for you involving golf carts.
No mention of that California high speed rail project, though. State vs Feds, I guess.

But you say that greed is good.
Rectify your position, Abs.

There's that separation of private and govt, for me.
Like you being a teacher or someone else being a cop or a politician. Getting involved in govt work is/was supposed to be about making less money in exchange for better benefits and job security.......while helping out locally. It's not the place to maximize your earning potential.
In private, with the Govt playing impartial referee.........you can charge whatever you want in business and see if others are willing to voluntarily do business with you.
Greed is good in select ways. If it serves to motivate you into being productive. I see wanting other people to pay your way as a form of greed......and that's not good.

2. Rich people are never going to let gov't be impartial unless we ban their access to gov't
3. Greed? You see wanting to have enough food so that you don't die as greed?
You're a sick fuck.

1. Well then........it's even worse than I suggest.
2. Criminals and the wealthy are in the same boat in that scenario. It's up to the Govt types to not be influenced by either.
3. Show me the last person to die by starvation in the US? (Being locked up by your caregiver/guardian doesn't count) Charity was handling it well enough long before the Govt decided to expand itself into the charity business.
I think you've got your own brand of sickness going on.

Yes. That's why it's best to just leave them alone until they do actual direct harm to others.

Actual direct harm...
There's a goalpost on wheels if I ever saw one....

I would think you'd have no problem defining that.
Sure, with some of your political beliefs you might want to extend it to all manner of friends and family being harmed indirectly, but you'd still know the truth of it. The whole ripple effect argument is a pretty mobile goalpost, as well

I'm pretty sure that YOU would be the one redefining "actual direct harm."

Did I cause you direct physical damage or clear property/monetary loss? Seems fairly plain.

You sell donuts for $1
I sell similar donuts for $0.50........am I hindering your business? Yes
Should I be punished or prevented from doing so?
