Unfortunately, when it comes to bad pain, there are a few to choose from... 
After a blown disc L3, L4 .......... and a flaming pulsing sciatica ....... I know that all too well  |

As well as a few other regular and irregular unpleasantries over the years. They say that pain is nature's way of letting you know you're alive. Well I say that nature can fuck right off, because I can figure these things out for myself. |

Disc prolapse... and sciatica here too. As well as a few other regular and irregular unpleasantries over the years. They say that pain is nature's way of letting you know you're alive. Well I say that nature can fuck right off, because I can figure these things out for myself.
I always told my mrs that I'm generally tough in the typical pain kinda way.......cuts, bruises, broken bones..........but even before that disc, I knew nerve pain (just cavities or broken teeth) were more than enough of an example for me to steer clear if I could.
Yeah, even more so.......WTF is medical science doing when it can't offer any real relief until you can at least receive the required surgical fix?
I'd rather take complete numbness than that unstopping throb of pain that not only keeps you awake, but gets worse the less sleep you get.

Mum was a nurse for about 53 years or so, in two different countries, including multiple locations around Australia, in both the city and country. And she often commented on the fact that nerve pain - especially certain types - was amongst the worse you could experience. Based upon a lifetime of personal experience, I can't say I'm in a position to disagree. |
