..........are two of the most populous and economically strong states in the entire union........ then WHY do they wait on the Federal Govt to do any of the things they promote nationwide?
Free college? Do it.
Free healthcare? Do it.
UBI? Do it.
What are they afraid of? That even more people will flock to their states? That they'll become even larger and more powerful economies?
Or do they just realize that the $Math doesn't add up?

Govt logic: Borders are bad and we certainly can't kick out Illegals and enforce laws on the books. We can't even be bothered to remove those laws.
Also Govt logic: We need to spend $Billions keeping invasive species from coming into areas where they're just seeking out a better life for themselves and their offspring. After many years and many $Billions, little to no success will come of most of these efforts.

Did you completely miss the opportunity to call out the xenophobic response to the Asian Carp? and other species?
I honestly believe that no race has a monopoly on abusing others.
