In response to RM Or maybe it's just because the girl in the pic can probably carry on an intelligent conversation in Standard American English and doesn't eat Cheetos all day.

Pretty sure Malcolm had Ginger genes You realize that red hair (like green eyes) is a genetic defect right?
Also, since Malcolm's grandmother was raped by a white man that the defective gene could have been passed on that way right?
Oh wait. You're a MAGAt. No science allowed!

It's a recessive gene. Is it scientifically categorized as a defect? I could totally see a lot of people believing so, either way.
Of course. Like a good portion of African Americans, their DNA has been blended with European DNA.
It's also what makes a lot of those actual 'white supremacists' so funny when they find out what their DNA has to say about their assumed 'purity'.

1. Fine. It's a recessive defect. Happy? 2. Yup. Malcolm's grandma wasn't the only black woman raped during slavery. 3. While I'm sure you'll find some white folks with a few drops of "black" but you're going to find a whole lot more African Americans with "white" in them.

yeah...... me happy now
No doubt
I doubt very many people have any version of 'pure' blood these days. Aside from groups that have been completely isolated for many, many, many generations. The rest of us are just variations of mutts. And that's OK
It so often leads to much better looking and healthier people, imo (I say this after watching The Crown, of course) Though, someone I've talked with is a big fan of line breeding.

I've never done one of those DNA thingies, but I've got access to family trees and there's a reason why I can wear shorts, sandals, and white tube socks to the beach without anyone noticing the socks....
