OUR media has been telling us that Ukraine is doing just great..............?
...
It has?
Stories about "valiant defenders" and "victories over the enemy" doesn't mean that they have been doing great.
Go back to WWII and look at the news. I'm sure you'll find all sorts of great stories about "heroic acts" and "valiant defenders" in Poland, France and elsewhere. It doesn't mean they didn't get invaded and occupied.
Just because your dog got run over by a car today, doesn't mean it didn't win "Best in Breed" yesterday.

Yes, it has.
WWII is a pretty good example of the kinda feel good propaganda that goes on. I get why it's done for your own armies........but who knew Ukraine was such an important part of our growing empire?
On a bizarrely sad note.........my wife just watched this goofy Hallmark type of movie about a dog named Ruby that was a foster, totally wrong breed.........but became a hero search & rescue for a trooper/officer. The original tale problem happened years ago.......but she just saw it on Netflix. This past week they announced at the age of 11 Ruby needed to be put down.

While I don't mind logical and rational stuff like campaigns/ads for 'Loose lips sink ships' and the like........internment for the Japanese? While the Germans still roamed free? Nuclear and other 'tests' on troops? There's the conspiracy theory about ignoring all the warning signs that could have prevented Pearl Harbor.......but it was more important to get the US into WWII. You gotta know there's this whole "Rah Rah Rah!" stuff where the US are always the good guys in the white hats.......while whoever they're fighting is of course the bad guys and scourge of the Earth? Is it ever really that simple?
2. Do you still not consider yourself an American? Or do you not wanna be credited/blamed for what the US Govts gets up to?

1. What is simple is for the media outlet to cheer on the underdog. I'm betting that you didn't post examples because when you looked them up you found phrases like, "even though the battle/war is far from over..." which is - if course - an acknowledgment of the realities. I'm sorry that MSM is backing the underdog (and non-aggressor) in the war, Abs. I know that you would love to say that Ukraine had it coming by trying to become part of NATO, but in doing that YOU are saying that Russia has the right to determine the political paths of its neighbors.
You call a bunch of homeless brown people holding babies and "invasion of our southern border" but champion an invasion of green-clad men holding machine guns against much small nation?
You're weird.
2. I was unaware that Ukraine was "our" anything.

Do you figure Palestinians are the non-aggressors, too?
What I'm saying is that the US almost started a nuclear war over some missiles getting parked in Cuba.......but Russia doesn't get the same latitude when it comes to demanding the removal of direct threats from their neighborhood? Very inconsistent on OUR part.
I am not for Russia invading nor all the dead that will result from it. But the people in power over here sure seem to love it. It must be good for their investments. And more payoffs to the 'Big Guy'

1. Sooooo... we're not talking about Ukraine anymore? I'm not talking about all conflicts. I'm talking about the one you mentioned in the OP. If you can't stay on topic with your own thread, then maybe you aren't worth talking to.
2. Was Ukraine planning to bomb Russia? Leave your oranges out your apples.
3. Herpaderp. Ahilk. That's all I heard. Sounds like more "I'm getting screwed over on my OP so let's talk about something else...."

1. BS........ I've already explained my views on Russia/Ukraine. You seem to be of the opinion one of them is a 100% innocent entity while the other is 100% in the wrong.
2. Ukraine attacked Russian people repeatedly since at least 2014. Leave your fruit out of it.
3. You see things the way you see them. I'm actually putting myself in another person/country's shoes and seeing how they arrived at the actions they did. But we're not allowed to even consider that because the western propaganda has been so successful?
I watched a video of Gonzalo Lira describing a hypothetical scenario where China started supplying weapons and equipment to places like Venezuela, Nicaragua and maybe even Mexico. Ramping up their productivity and arming all of these places just under the US border......and what the US's reaction would be to that? Pretty sure we can agree on what that would look like.
Just googled ot find his video and of course there's a Yahoo/Daily Beast hitpiece on him calling him a Putin puppet, too What a shock

1. That is pretty much what the western MSM has been pushing. Did I mistake your viewpoint that agrees with them?
2. It's back and forth. It's practically been an active civil war.
3. Right, cuz nobody outside the US supported the South during the Civil War

3. Right, cuz nobody outside the US supported the South during the Civil War 1. Doing great as the underdog facing down a vastly superior force, but still suffering heavy losses and not likely to be the ultimate victor. I don't think you can show me a credible source saying, "Ukraine's doing so great we wonder why Vlad even thought about invading this military juggernaut.
Grow a brain, Abbey.
2. Created and maintained by Vlad and his puppets.
3. You mean like our enemies?

3. Yep. When you fund, promote and coerce one group into attacking another........that makes you seem like an enemy, no doubt.
