Joe Biden has been accused of being part of a secret Russian plan to bring down the U.S. from the inside, according to a Fox News guest.

Former assistant Secretary of the Treasury, Monica Crowley, spoke to Fox News' Steve Hilton on his show, The Next Revolution, on Sunday where she made the claims.

She said President Joe Biden and the Democrats are intentionally attempting to destroy the United States, and went on to say this was part of a KGB—the main security agency of the Soviet Union—plan.

A clip of her conversation with the Fox host has gone viral on Twitter and has been viewed over 200,000 times.

"I do use the word enemy here deliberately because it is tough for most Americans to understand that their President and a whole major political party in the U.S. is intentionally destroying and crippling the United States, Crowley said.

"But, that is exactly what is happening here. Until we understand that, we are not going to be able to counter it in an effective way."

Hilton pressed Crowley to explain where this supposed desire to hurt the country is coming from.

She argued this plan was initially thought up by the KGB in the 1930s, despite the fact that the Soviet Union did not create the agency until 1954.

"This has been a long-term project by the left and it actually began in the 1930s and it came out of the KGB," Crowley continued.

"It was originally a KGB operation to destroy the country and then after World War II the Soviets actually changed their tactics.

"What they decided to do, and it has been very effective for many decades, is infiltrate and grab control of the major pillars of U.S. life.

Crowley went on to claim that this infiltration covered music, television, film and news media, as well as education in schools and universities.

"So with those pillars they have been able to inflict tremendous damage over many decades and now we are a tipping point where the useful idiots on the left... the soviet union collapsed, the CCP [Chinese Communist Party] then stepped in to take over this grand project to destroy the country from within.

"Now that you have got useful idiots in the highest level of power, including in the White House and including in Congress, you are seeing an acceleration of the tipping point. We are almost at the point of no return."

Newsweek has contacted Monica Crowley and the White House for comment.

Several issue continue to plague the U.S. economy, most notably gas prices and inflation. A gallon of gas is now being sold for more than the federal minimum wage in some parts of the country.

The federal minimum wage is $7.25—an amount that hasn't been raised by Congress in more than a decade. But some drivers are having to hand over more for a gallon of regular gasoline, according to a post on Twitter.

Meanwhile, U.S. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) declined by an annualized rate of 1.4 percent in the first quarter of 2022, the first time GDP has fallen since the beginning of the pandemic.

On Wednesday last week, the Federal Reserve announced a half percentage point rise in interest rates as the central bank attempts to tackle stubbornly high inflation. The Fed's move was expected, as the annual rate of inflation was 8.5 percent in March, the greatest rise since 1981, after months of persistent increases in the price of everyday consumer goods.

The former president's fundraising efforts have come under renewed scrutiny after the House committee investigating the January 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol suggested that Trump had raised millions on false claims that the presidency was stolen from him.

According to campaign filings, Trump raised more than $250 million in the two months after the 2020 election — during which he aggressively touted his baseless claims of voter fraud.

The New York Times reported that Trump has since accumulated a total of $390 million in donations, which he said would help to overturn his election defeat, boost his allies' political campaigns, and "save America from Joe Biden and the radical left."

However, the outlet reported that much of the money has actually gone to paying off expenses for Trump's 2020 presidential campaign and strengthening his political operation so he can run for president again in 2024. According to the Times, he still has $144 million of these contributions in the bank "as of a few months ago."

Fox News host Mark Levin took aim at conservative pundit Ann Coulter Wednesday over her criticism of the 2020 presidential election documentary 2,000 Mules from right-wing political commentator Dinesh D'Souza.

In a Wednesday post titled "Dinesh's Stupid Movie" (with the subtitle "And the grift goes on..."), Coulter singled out the documentary in the context of allegations by the House committee investigating the January 6 Capitol riot that Donald Trump used false election claims to raise $250 million.

"Which brings me to Dinesh D'Souza's movie '2,000 Mules.' The movie tells Trump diehards (a dwindling crowd) that their man probably DID win the 2020 election!" she wrote in the post. Coulter, who Vanity Fair reported once dated D'Souza, was once a staunch supporter of Trump but has since become a critic of the former president over issues like his unsuccessful effort to build a wall across the U.S.-Mexico border.

Responding on Twitter to an article about Coulter's post and criticism of the film, Levin tweeted: "Does it get any lower than Coulter? Speaking of grifters..."

The film shows video, obtained through open-records requests, in which so-called mules—described in the movie as paid or unpaid operatives—are seen allegedly stuffing ballot boxes. Ahead of the documentary's May release, D'Souza told Newsweek that it wasn't meant to convince viewers that the 2020 election should be overturned but to cast doubt on the Department of Homeland Security's declaration that it was "the most secure in American history."

Fact-checkers at the Associated Press and PolitiFact have said allegations made in the documentary are misleading or false. But the film has become popular with some Republican figures and crowds, including Trump, who held a screening of it in May at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. Former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, GOP Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene and acquitted shooter Kyle Rittenhouse were among those who attended the event.

Trump has even targeted Fox News for purportedly refusing to "show or discuss" D'Souza's documentary.

"Fox News is no longer Fox News," Trump posted on his Truth Social account last month. "They won't even show or discuss the greatest & most impactful documentary of our time, '2000 Mules.' The Radical Left Democrats are thrilled - They don't want the TRUTH to get out."

In January this year, Coulter called Trump a "liar and a con man" after he criticized politicians who declined to say whether they had received a booster shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Newsweek reached out to Levin via Fox News and Coulter via her social media for comment.

Ron Watkins, the man purported to be an architect of the QAnon conspiracy theory, filed an ethics complaint against Republican state Sen. Wendy Rogers for a post she made about him on social media.

Watkins’ complaint stems from a February post by Rogers on Telegram, an encrypted messaging app favored by conservatives, in which she asked the “Groyper army” to “hit” Watkins

Rogers was asking her fans and allies in the “groyper army” to go after the QAnon conspiracy theorist turned Congressional candidate because he had alleged Rogers, a Flagstaff Republican who has built her political brand on spreading lies about the 2020 election, was involved in some sort of “backroom deal” that was preventing some equipment from being examined for alleged election fraud. There is no evidence of such a backroom deal.

The self-styled online “army” that Rogers sought to rally to her aid is a collection of white nationalists who favor online trolling tactics. Their goals broadly include normalizing their extreme and racist views by aligning them with Christianity and so-called “traditional” values.

“I wish to submit a formal ethics complaint and ask that you commence an ethics investigation into Senator Wendy Rogers to determine whether she is fit for service to the people of Arizona due to a pattern of behavior that is unbecoming of a Senator,” Watkins wrote in an email to Ethics Committee Chairwoman Sine Kerr that was also sent to the other 29 senators. “I have been included in her online attacks and will list the details here, along with a history of actions that call into question her ability to faithfully execute her duties in a way that brings honor to the State of Arizona.”

Watkins initially filed the complaint as an email, not as a signed and notarized letter as required by the rules of the Senate Ethics Committee. He has since submitted a complaint that follows those guidelines, he told the Arizona Mirror.

Watkins’ complaint alleges that, in trying to mobilize the “groyper army,” Rogers put his life in danger because of his Asian-American heritage and because “someone in this group would interpret this post to mean a ‘hit’ on my life.”

The complaint also mentions Rogers’ other ethics complaints that have been brought against her including her comments about the Buffalo shooting, a former staffer she allegedly mistreated, her censure and her antisemitic social media posts.

Although he said in the complaint that he was fearful of the groypers, Watkins has repeatedly associated with prominent Arizona groypers. For instance, Kyle Clifton, who has promoted white nationalist Nick Fuentes as well as used the Neo-Nazi term “blood and soil” in Instagram posts, has posed alongside Watkins for photos.

Clifton, along with anti-LGBTQ activist Ethan Schmidt, both joined Watkins to file a frivolous lawsuit against Gov. Doug Ducey for his “failure to protect the border.” They were joined by a woman who believes AIDS is a hoax and the Earth is flat.

Watkins was also interviewed by groyper Greyson Arnold, who has used his social media pages to post memes lauding Nazis as the “pure race” and lament the American victory in World War II. He also called Adolf Hitler a “complicated historical figure,” and was present at the U.S. Capitol insurrection on January 6.

Watkins has boosted the Telegram accounts of both Arnold and Clifton. Before all three were banned from Twitter, he also boosted their Twitter accounts.

Before QAnon, many came to associate Watkins with an online image board called 8chan, which was later renamed 8kun. Watkins didn’t create the site — its founder was Fredrick Brennan, who would later cut ties with the website — but he became its administrator after his father, Jim Watkins, purchased it.

The site has become a hotbed for hosting extremist and illicit content. It has hosted child porn, and white supremacist mass shooters have used it as a platform to spread their manifestos.

The Christchurch shooter in New Zealand said that he frequented the 4chan and 8chan message boards where far-right and white supremacist rhetoric was prevalent, and directly linked to other real-life hate crimes. The website also promoted antisemitism, at one point creating a cryptocurrency for users to boost their posts with a program they called “King of the Shekel.”

Watkins did not respond to questions about his interactions with Arizona groypers. Rogers did not respond to a request for comment about the complaint by Watkins.

It's the olde drug dealer handing out free samples in order to start the addiction ploy. And it's worked tremendously well for them. I remember thinking that when Reagan? pulled off that "Set your Speed Limits to 55 or else Federal Funds will be pulled." ploy. (Upon researching, it turns out Nixon started it all)
