Because you are cautious and careful..........does not mean that others won't be stepping out into traffic without looking expecting others to keep them safe at all times. Drivers are always supposed to be aware of traffic & stuff popping up. Or is rear ending the car ahead ok in Wisconsin?
There's the Rule/Expectation of what's supposed to happen........and then there's the REALITY of what happens when some moron just steps out in front of a car expecting it to stop without making sure it was safe in the first place. You feeling me?
It's OK with the sheer amount of Illegals we now have.

Business Insider A researcher's avatar was sexually assaulted on a metaverse platform owned by Meta, making her the latest victim of sexual abuse on Meta's platforms, watchdog saysWeilun Soon Mon, May 30, 2022 Imaginary crimes You are using the avatar so you are attached to it. Its like saying it's not wring for a guy to masturbate during a zoom meeting because the women could just not look & they aren't actually there.
Which one took place in REALITY, though?
I will admit it musta taken some effort on the part of the virtual rapist, though. I'm reminded of all of the funny and inventive memes Dracula seems to think up

A zoom meeting is more real than playing a video game with a group? The whole Meta this is supposed to be reality. You've seen the ads. You meet up with friends, only its online so maybe your friend is a giraffe avatar. So this gal entered that "reality" where guys & gals are supposed to mingle & her avatar is sexually harassed. It's like that article I posted about the shooter where he behaved like that but a lot of gals didn't report him because that's what it's like with guys online. Threats to rape, etc. Because it's "not real" so they can "joke" they want to blow a girl's brains out which is just how people are online. Only he did it in the real world, didn't he? Parents let their kids online for hours. Unsupervised. Did you see the one girl's phone went off & she tried to stop it so the shooter came back & killed her? 4th graders have phones. Damn. My kid got a job & got a phone at 16

A business meeting is certainly a more serious collection of adults, imo........whereas even adults playing video games, I'd suspect they'd behave more childishly overall while interacting. Not like it's work related.
Oh, those furry giraffes.
But again, my point is simply IF you're so damaged by harassment online.......then you're likely nowhere near prepared for the REAL world. Online you just close the window, go someplace else at the click of a button.
I know........but it's just another example of how all this talk of monitoring, reporting, networking, etc etc is really gonna solve anything? Clearly not.
Yes, he did. And the more we learn, there were PLENTY of actual red flags that all involved just plain ignored. In a school setting......can you believe it? I can. Clearly even the relatives were barely cognizant of their own flesh and blood. Cuz people care soooooooooooo much about the babies they wanted to have, right?
I did not see that detail. She wasn't playing it nearly as smart as others, huh? Patiently waiting for help to arrive?
THAT's the trend......as young as 6.........cuz the parents just gotta be able to get in touch at all time? What a weird culture we've turned into. George Carlin mentioned that with this whole bizarre child worshiping.

U.S. Asheville Citizen-Times Opinion: Madison Cawthorn’s bittersweet defeat: Homophobia might have been the culprit============================================== I love, love, LOVE the spin on this one.
I wanted to be elated at Madison Cawthorn’s primary defeat, but as a gay man, there’s a bittersweet element. It feels like the trio of homoerotic leaks that seem to have been his final death knell. A photo of Cawthorn wearing women’s lingerie and two videos of him suggestively interacting with a male cousin were picked to intentionally court the homophobia I can occasionally fool myself into thinking we’ve moved past. It’s weird because I don’t even blame those who spread the content. I believe Cawthorn is a specific danger, and it’s time the left played as dirty as the right. Still, for me, it dampens this victory. I’ve diligently followed (some might say stalked) Cawthorn’s social media since his tenure and noticed a marked shift in the interactions after the lingerie photos surfaced. Prior, the comments were mostly sycophantic, mostly fellow right-wing, radicalized Americans telling him how great he is. Now? Your occasionally sanctimonious commenter says how disappointed they are. They thought they’d elected a Christian — but the comment section at large feels like a roast, with people from both sides of the aisle gleefully taunting Cawthorn for wearing women’s clothing and humping men. No other controversy energized commenters this much, not his pathological lying nor helping cite an insurrection that killed five Americans. Now, I was initially delighted by Cawthorn’s “gay phase” — texting friends and tweeting nonsense myself — but I fear most of the other commenters weren’t mocking the Republican ethos of “do as I say, not as I do” as much as they were making light of being gay. It pains me how long I convinced myself this kind of homophobia-lite was something to accept because of its prevalence.

Separate would be fine........ just like the females.
It's the mixing that creates avoidable problems, imo

As a culture they seem a bit more mature than US people these days. Maybe it's been that non-stop threat of annihilation that makes it so? Meanwhile, as soon as actual battle breaks out for US troops? the pregnancy rates among the enlisted soars.

Odd how you went there.
Why not simply an aversion to actual combat?

Maybe it's more of a topic of discussion in San Diego with all our military bases. We moved to Mira Mesa in 1990 This was soon all over the news Probably because then it was Naval Air Station Miramar. It was transferred to the Marines in 1993 during that realignment thing Clinton did.
