Apparently Denali National Park, Alaska
We have them pretty bad in this locale, too...........which is odd cuz just a few miles away, we never had an issue.
But they're NO joke.
We actually pay a service to come out about once a month in Spring & Summer to spray........otherwise you wouldn't be able to stand outside.

Dogs have larger carbon footprint than SUVs, says study A study released by Victoria University shows that dogs have a larger carbon footprint than SUVs. Aug 13, 2012 at 8:44am ET By: Adrian Padeanu
Here's an interesting study coming all the way from New Zealand where two researchers from Victoria University are saying that dogs have a larger carbon footprint in comparison to SUVs. Robert and Brenda Vale reached this conclusion by figuring out how much land is necessary in order to generate sufficient food for feeding a dog per year.
Their results are showing that the average mid-size dog eats 3.17 ounces of meat and 5.5 ounces of grain in a 10.5-ounce serving of dry food, while to generate this it takes approximately 2.07 acres of land. They compared these results with a Toyota Land Cruiser with a V8 4.6-liter engine that does about 6,200 miles / year (10,000 km) that would use about 55.1 gigajoules of energy every year, a number which represents approximately 1.1 acres of land annually so 50 percent less than the dog's carbon footprint.
They used the same formula for calculating a cat's carbon footprint and reached the conclusion that it is just about the same as one VW Golf. Other comparisons show a similar impact between a hamster and a flat screen TV, while the impact of a goldfish is just about the same as a cell phone's footprint.
Robert and Brenda Vale have also released a book about their findings, and it's called "Time to Eat the Dog?" Another title could have very well been: "Save the world: Replace dog with SUV".
Regarding the comparison between the dog and the Toyota Land Cruiser, the researchers did not take into account the cost of producing and maintaining the SUV so the analysis is not entirely relevant.
I got this line from a funny Tim Minchin tune

Yeah. Im not big on jewelry. I have a silver pentagram & an eye of Horus I wear on a silver rope chain. I wear a silver mjolnir on a black shoestring. I have a silver angel ring my husband bought me. I wear a small emerald in a gold ring that fits into the space between the wings. Most people think they're one ring. Thats it. I wear them all the time.

I wonder if many people quietly assume you're either a Satanist? or a white supremacist yourself?
My co-workers keeps mood rocks on her sometimes. Under her boobs. I just say her boobs rock.
I got no tattoos or piercings. A wedding band is all I wear. Even that has been swapped for a silicone ring and a plastic replacement on occasion.

I told you that's how I know the whole secret supremacist stuff. They see the anchor & ask if I believe in (states rights, etc). I just say my dad's people came from Denmark around 150 yrs ago & its cool. People ask if I'm a Wiccan over the pentagram. (It's point up/witch's. Point down is Satanic) Some time ago I read a pentagram is a door. Point down, it's open. Point up, it's closed. Thor was a protector The Eye of Horus is also protective. So I wear them to protect me from evil. Like good luck charms

So anyone that favors state's rights over federal govt is bad?
My religious buddy's family came from Sweden.
Thor was also kind of a drunken spoiled kid, no?
Evil? Do you think there is evil without humans?
I bought my Goddaughter a silver necklace with a religious 'charm' of sorts.........not because I felt it was lucky or anything. I just liked the design and thought she'd like it, too.

It's peace of mind, isn't it? My husband was frightening to ride with. Cut in front of people. Drive past them & give them dirty looks. Same in life. Obsessed with getting even. I don't need to get even. I believe what goes around comes around All that we do comes back threefold. Good. Bad. So whoever does me wrong will get it back three times worse. I don't have to be obsessed like my husband was. Anger is an emotion that will devour you.

So your peace of mind comes from a faith that people eventually get theirs? Hey, whatever works for you.
Do you feel it was anger that consumed him?
I will give you this though..........when I was in my teens until my mid-20s, I had a bit more issues with anger and approach. But ever since I decided it was doing me no use and altered my approach and expectations....... my life has been pretty much one positive thing after another. Even the bumps in the road (expected and unexpected alike) are easier to deal with.

Yeah. It stretches thin sometimes when one sees some people seemingly get away with murder, but their quality of life? The whole money doesn't buy happiness? The last president, for example. Never enough. Also from The Greatest Showman Only Donald is still chasing. He has his ups, but so much grumbling & complaining, he doesn't really seem happy. His happiness seems so transitory, fleeting. My husband was that way. Always had to blame others. There was always an enemy. Someone to hate. Wanting to prove himself. Bragging. Lying to make wins seem bigger. Worried about what others think. I can't do that. I understand polite. Doing things for tge benefit of others like masks. But if I'm over in my corner doing my thing & someone thinks poorly of me, I don't care. I liked Kiss at a time when most hated them in the early 80s. Who cared? Or geek stuff. Liking Star Wars. My in-laws weren't fantasy fans. Mother-in-law was big Tom Cruise fan. Crushed when it came out Rock Hudson was gay. Big on "true life" stories. But my liking sci-fi didn't hurt anyone so why worry about what others thought? My husband cared. My mother-in-law cared. Worried about what others thought. Had to like what was popular. Ultimately not really happy. Seems like such a waste.

The last president seems to have very happy and well adjusted kids. THAT doesn't tell you anything? Even the ones from previous divorces.
Wanting to get the US back to something bit less Establishment and indistinguishable from administration to administration?
Except in the case of Trump (and Nixon) there actually WAS an enemy. Many, many in fact.
This mask thing has turned into just another form of social bullying.
It's funny to think of how people were actually 'crushed' by celeb outings. I still scratch my head at George Michaels seeming fall in the US, despite the growth of acceptance for homosexuals? Maybe the ladies were to blame, too?
Well, then you and me have something more in common with that not caring what others think.
Who does seem truly happy to you these days? Most of the celebs are so very, very fake. And dysfunctional.
heheheh I'm currently watching the series Inventing Anna........ A fake socialite infiltrates the socialites that are so fake themselves.

Not sure. We don't really know much about them. Doesn't Ivanka seem a tad the socialite you are scoffing at in Inventing Anna? It surprises me that anyone thinks they "know" celebrities. Actors, etc, have jobs. They perform a function. What the hell do socialites like Ivanka do? Wanting to get the US back to something bit less Establishment and indistinguishable from administration to administration? Except in the case of Trump (and Nixon) there actually WAS an enemy. Many, many in fact. So now Nixon was unjustly persecuted? Every fucking president has enemies. Watching that Lincoln thing on History? It's the way politics work. This mask thing has turned into just another form of social bullying.
Yes it has when it shouldn't. "No shirt. No Shoes No service." Why should it have been so hard to add "No Mask" to that list? Why did my kid have to deal with so many asswipes when it was the state rule for people to wear masks? Why did so many people think they were John Paul Jones or Paul Revere for not wearing a stupid piece of cloth? Stupid. They gonna all insist clothes are an unjust thing to wear? It's funny to think of how people were actually 'crushed' by celeb outings. I still scratch my head at George Michaels seeming fall in the US, despite the growth of acceptance for homosexuals? Maybe the ladies were to blame, too? Getting back to that fans thinking they know a celebrity. It's where my questioning of Jesus came in. I saw all these people deifying Elvis Presley after he died. Have you not seen it with Trump? People practically turning him into Jesus? The actual Jesus was so long ago. There have been centuries to turn a man into a God. Look at in the past celebrities had to keep their marriages secret. Had to keep relationships secret. Because some fans apparently think they have a shot at being the celebrity's partner. They don't know them. These people are total strangers. Yet Donald has always been a grasping socialite. Apparently the price of using one of his properties in a movie was his appearing in the movie on top of any money paid. He's always been needy. There is a deep insecurity to him. A need to prove he's something he's not. My husband did that. When I met him he was driving his daddy's Tbird around. Dressed in Angel Flight suits (what Travolta wore in Saturday Night Fever). People thought he had money, but he didn't have squat. I had $400 in the bank. That vanished quick. Well, then you and me have something more in common with that not caring what others think. Who does seem truly happy to you these days? Most of the celebs are so very, very fake. And dysfunctional. heheheh I'm currently watching the series Inventing Anna........ The celebrities that seem happy are the ones who don't dance to the system. They don't need to constantly be in the eye of the public. Maybe that's why I don't like reality shows. Wannabe celebrities. Scott Bakula apparently has it in his contract to be off the set at 6pm so he can be home with his family. People like that. Low profile. They do their job & go home. None of the Kardashian crap. (I have never watched that show)

Actors, etc, have jobs. They perform a function. What the hell do socialites like Ivanka do? She is........one of the best looking socialites, but yep. What do they do? Rub elbows with others and raise money while spending a ton. You should know, Foundations of all sorts do the same.So now Nixon was unjustly persecuted? Every fucking president has enemies. Watching that Lincoln thing on History? It's the way politics work. Unjustly? According to whom? The Leftwing MSM would never agree......while they run cover for the Kennedys and many others. It's how politics works? Consistently? No, Nixon was bad enough, Trump was tens times worse.Yes it has when it shouldn't. "No shirt. No Shoes No service." Why should it have been so hard to add "No Mask" to that list? Why did my kid have to deal with so many asswipes when it was the state rule for people to wear masks? It was supposed to just a few weeks, merh. 3 F'n years now? When you were all told it wouldn't work all along? And they still won't admit they were wrong? Canada is tripling down. 3 years of an 'Emergency'? Nonsense.Getting back to that fans thinking they know a celebrity. It's where my questioning of Jesus came in. Trump got into the BUSINESS of putting his name on things......even things he didn't own himself. You call it needy. I call it extending his business and making money. And no, nobody round here considers him Jesus reborn. Just a pretty funny guy who put up with more crap than any other president has had to.........AND he's been better for the country than most recent presidents, too. Despite all of the celebrity opposition. Cuz their opinions and beliefs are so pure and universal, right? There is a deep insecurity to him. A need to prove he's something he's not. My husband did that. When I met him he was driving his daddy's Tbird around. Dressed in Angel Flight suits (what Travolta wore in Saturday Night Fever). People thought he had money, but he didn't have squat. I had $400 in the bank. That vanished quick. Except Trump is not your husband. And he did achieve a lot. Even becoming president despite the well written comedy sketches and mic drops by Barack & Co.The celebrities that seem happy are the ones who don't dance to the system. But one thing you're ignoring, despite you and I never watching or caring about the Kardashians....... just that name alone created one of the youngest $Billionaires ever. And they didn't even claim "She didn't build that!" when they announced it.
