$4,000? Public schools charge a crapload more than that per student. The 'specials' cost a ton more than that.
Where's your outrage there? Especially for all the schools that fail to graduate people with a minimal set of skills?

Isn't that the case with most laws? They're just a made up set of rules.

Term limits

you know what's really sad and pathetic about the discussion of term limits? It's basically admitting people are too lazy to vote out elected officials.
There's a term limit with every single new election.......but it's too much to ask for people to do anything themselves?

THAT seems cheap......... I really woulda guessed more money than that for 3 whole days. When I was a kid it was like $20-30/person for 1 day at Great America....and that seemed pricey. We usually used coupons or BOGO offers.

No. Its not lazy It's fear of change. Things may be bad right now, but they blame it on other politicians because they feel they are doing OK themselves. I argued this back in the 80s with a gal, presenting my idea if one couldn't thing of something the politician had done positive in one's perspective one should vote them out unless the opposition was worse. She said oh, no. Per her husband if one is doing well, keep voting for the existing politicians. I have heard this from many other voters. Meanwhile the ones who ARE dissatisfied are the working stiffs who don't vote because their one vote won't matter, why bother? So it's not lazy. It's hopelessness. That "the system" can't be broken

We usually used coupons or BOGO offers. That might have been pre-pandemic. I stopped paying attention to that offer. I think it's over $100/day now so it might be $400 for the pass. It is just insane OK. From Mickeyland's site So $83x3=$249 So it is that per SoCal resident (certain zip codes 92--- I believe)

it sounds like a viable theory..........but I see people waste their time and money on a ton of other things

Like I have said, people don't examine their beliefs as much as they should "I'm a xxx"(Democrat. Evangelical. Etc) But everyone shifts. It's a normal thing. Yet they still run around saying "I'm xxxx" when maybe they are cool with abortion or gay marriage, etc. So just marking a box is easier It feels like it's gotten worse, like sports team fervor. In particular most polls I've seen indicate liberals understand compromise is necessary when conservatives see compromise as weakness, selling out.

I think you're right on there.........lots of people claim to be this or that, but when it comes down to living that truth........not so much. I've asked religious people exactly WHAT does your branch of religion actually believe in anymore? If you're willing to change yor beliefs to get more butts in the pews, then they really aren't strong beliefs, are they?
I absolutely see compromise as a weakness now. Mostly because it's been a one way street for years.

America wouldn't exist without compromise, dude. All those meetings to knock out our constitution involved A LOT of compromise So the founders were weak?

And the slack jawed corrupt politicians we have today are going to compromise the end of this country.
They're compromising the rights and freedoms the founders listed away.

No. Like any marriage involves compromise. It can't all be one partner's way. Meet in the middle. What part of each sides want list can be dropped so the most important part gets done. If you have too many things to do in a day, isn't it better to do the most important things first? The smaller chores can get done the next day.
