U.S. wholesale inflation rises at slowest pace in nine months - but it's not as good as it looks
The pace of wholesale inflation over the past 12 months rose again to 8.6%, the highest level since the index was reconfigured in 2010. The burst isn’t going away soon. U.S. wholesale inflation rises at slowest pace in nine months - but it's not as good as it looks

I hate that one. Yahoo uses it all the time, but they limit what one can read.
Basically it all comes down to the 24 hour news cycle.
They need to fill the gaps so they speculate endlessly.
We are going to get 48 hours minimum on Colin Powell. Look at Clinton. In the hospital 5 days & they droned on & on about it. Though we have lost a lot of people to sepsis. Yet Billy boy survived. The gods must like him.
They need to fill the air time & get clicks so they speculate on everything. Click me! Watch our channel for 5 more minutes!
Give it a day or 2 as far as I'm concerned.

Droned? So you're really only a fan of hers? I don't think it's God he made a deal with, dear. That guy will likely outlive both Hillary and Brandon.
Yet they still tend to speculate in different directions depending on Party

It was years ago. Sandy Hook. I remember watching Fox as it was breaking & it became obvious they had nothing new, but didn't want to leave the story in case something broke so they just kept showing the school & running every wild speculation they heard. Remember the cops were looking for a second shooter? Now it seems they're always looking for that second shooter. So no. It isn't political. MSNBC does it. CNN does it. All trying to fill air time. Notice headlines all seem to cut off at the important part so one has to click just to see what the full title of the piece is? Or that they often run just a sentence or 2 instead of the paragraph or so they used to? Click bait? They ALL do it. Give me the story & move on. Only there isn't anything to move on to, so they have to go over the same thing again & again. They get different "experts" to air opinions. Then ask the next set of talking heads to comment on what the prior talking heads said. It has squat to do with politics. I can't watch disaster coverage on those 24 hour news shows. One can hear then drooling over death counts. X dead, but that number could rise! Critical thinking & all. They don't want you to change the channel so they speculate how many could lose life.or property. That Santee crash? That was my fear That UPS driver was "months" from retirement when that plane landed on him doing his job. I was terrified I would catch Covid & die or some other such thing would end me before I could retire. Remember I have joked about planes falling from the sky here in this area? Yet that also was "how big can we get this death toll?" News reporting. Ghouls.

You can't admit or see that there is definitely a bias in our media? FOX has always been clearly rightwing.........and the rest have more and more exposed themselves as the opposite.
Sorta like how the soldiers dead was a Bush thing and then it kinda just disappeared after the 2008 election?
You live in a densely populated area with a lot of traffic in the air and on the ground. They could go all day, every day with death stories if they liked. It's all about what they choose to focus on........ just like we do with our politics.

At least someone is popular these days........
Rapper Loza Alexander’s anti-Biden anthem ‘Lets Go Brandon’ tops the chartsBy Valerie Richardson - The Washington Times - Tuesday, October 19, 2021 Just nine months into office, President Biden has inspired a chart-topping hit, although don’t expect him to add it to his playlist. The anti-Biden anthem “Lets Go Brandon” by New Jersey rapper Loza Alexander was locked Tuesday at No. 1 on the Apple iTunes list of Top Rap and Hip-Hop Songs a week after its release Oct. 12. In addition, “Lets Go Brandon” was the No. 2 U.S. song overall Tuesday on the iTunes chart, trailing only Adele’s “Easy On Me,” while the music video had been viewed nearly 1.7 million times on Mr. Alexander’s YouTube channel. Not bad for a tune that started as a viral meme. The phrase became a rallying cry on the right after NBC NASCAR reporter Kelli Stavast said on the air Oct. 2 that a crowd yelling “f—- Joe Biden” was actually chanting “Let’s go, Brandon,” referring to winning driver Brandon Brown. In a Monday video post, Mr. Alexander said he and his family celebrated after the video reached 1 million views Sunday, adding that he was “speechless” by the song’s success. “My first 1 million view video. ‘Lets Go Brandon.’ It just happened,” he said. “Thank you, guys, so much for supporting it. Thank you, guys, for the love. This is the biggest record in the country right now.” He also thanked Fox News, which featured the song on-air last week, and conservative YouTube host Steven Crowder and Donald Trump Jr. for promoting the tune on social media. www.washingtontimes.com/news/2021/oct/19/rapper-loza-alexanders-anti-biden-anthem-lets-go-b/?fbclid=IwAR2H0bsZySjzUHF9VD6AFrh8K2kwY_hegQaBW5MgxeAobUpRCdl2VmOsS0s

I’d realized (in large part due to the pandemic) that life is too short to spend eight hours of your day, five days a week doing something that doesn’t fulfill you. My job wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t meaningful. I didn’t feel like I was adding any value to the world or making the kind of positive impact that I knew, deep down, I really wanted to make..."
Jesus, some people
How modern of them to come to the realization that work, for the most part, sucks for most people. How did they reach adulthood not realizing that?

We? I don't prefer to lie to people like that. Most of us on this planet will just be little cogs. Get used to it, I say.
How funny is that, though? The MOST populace country on the planet.......and all those parents treating their single child as the most precious thing ever? Heheheheh

Like George Carlin mentioned, we went from being much more realistic.........to some bizarre form of child worship. And it makes no sense.

The old joke I always heard was that our of a dozen kids, at least one would become something worthy like a doctor even if a couple died or became criminals. The idea one had spare kids. And they were your retirement. They would take care if you in your old age.

My understanding was it was more rural in the past, you'd be lucky if all your kids survived past 10......thus you had more, just in case.
There's very little chance this latest wave of woke little kids is gonna be working or providing care for their elders, imo. They better import low wage workers or invent some decent robots in the meantime.

A certain poster here connects conservative with racism, xenophobia and corruption.

Shelves in the stores I hit are mostly full (cat food...damn. the dog side if the aisle seems fine, but I got chicken, whitefish & sardines, & turkey on the canned cat food side? The dogs are getting it, aren't they& the beef for the salmon & beef) So why they still pitching doom & gloom? Did you see Fox disavowed Tucker's Patriot special? Even they know not to go too far
