I truly hope his idea takes off. I've been suggesting similar things for years.......and we know the Govt wants to get in the way of it.
The government WANTS to get in the way or Big Pharma is paying the government to get in the way.
The cart goes BEHIND the horse, Abs.
I've been accused of that before..........but in this case it's just our disagreement over who is the horse and who is the cart.

But it shouldn't be a disagreement. It's fucking obvious to anyone with eyes and a few functioning brain cells that the corporations are running the country and not the government.

I'm pretty sure if I looked, I'd be able to find a similar plot somewhere in the last 59 years of DW history. However, I have no experience with Netflix, so I can't help you on that score. |

You're a luddite? My wife still mocks me for the flip phone I just tossed aside..........cuz I couldn't be bothered to be quite that available. She sets up everything electronic in the house.......and then speaks VERY slowly to me while showing me the latest remote controls. If I'm lucky, the basic operations sink in.
I feel for you being stuck between your love/enjoyment of an activity..........and knowing how they often tend to force your hand into getting newer equipment or upgrades along the way.

I've got the 12 MONKEYS film in my collection, but I only have a passing awareness of the TV series. With DOCTOR WHO, I generally have encyclopedic knowledge of Classic Who, but I know sweet fuck all about New Who. I see no reason for updating my mobile until they literally switch the supporting technology off, which will apparently happen sometime in 2024. I generally manage to keep up-to-date with the technology I need to keep doing what I'm doing... which involves CD, DVD, HDD and so forth... GTA 5 and GTA ONLINE both started out on the PS3 and had to be upgraded to the PS4, so I've been through this process before. However, this time around there might be a few extra bells and whistles thrown into the process, including a stand alone version of GTA ONLINE, separate from the single player game... and a lot of other potential unknowns, so I'm not in a rush to confront "the reckoning"... which will occur around 01/03/2022. And that's March, not January, you backwards-arsed American ginger.  |
